So Impressed.. best pocket camera ever.

This camera has so many features, you can't even remember to use them all, I use it at a pool and the pictures are excellent, I love playing with the color swap feature, purple, red, yellow green water the colors are awesome. I already have people wanting one. Only down fall is the battery life but the great photos out weigh that problem.. Thanks canon you never let me down.
Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Poor Low-Light Performance, Short battery life

Great All Around Camera

Have had several "pocket" cameras but this is by far the best all around one I've owned. Easy to use and the 12X feature is great for the grandkids activities. I thought the weight might be a negative but it's a plus as far as holding steady with good grip features. Have had success using indoors in normal light without flash. This was definitely a solid purchase.
Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, comfortable to hold steady

An OK camera

Camera is fairly easy to use since the one I previously had was very similiar, however: it is to easy to accidently activate other functions with your thumb while holding it up. No hard copy booklet is a big disadvantage when away from your computer. Pictures taken are clear but are difficult to maintain image stabilization beyond 12X zoom. This may be partially caused by no view finder to observe through and having to hold camera away from you to see image on the LCDisplay.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, easy to use, flash is not automatic must be manually lifted. i
Cons: Heavy/Bulky, Complicated controls/menu, Flimsy Construction

Best Family Picutres

since the Previous model, I enjoy the fact that there are many ways to control your pictures, the quality of pictures does not let you down, I like to play around with the exposure settings and also with the powerful zoom. I use chargeable batteries for endurance. Overall you get far more than you pay for. would had love to upgrade to the new model but I'm kind disappointed I prefer better picture more than more pixel count. Canon. Please take note: for the average consumer a good picture is far better and bigger a one.

Highlights
1: Decent image quality for this price range (I can tell Best In Class) Well controlled Chromatic Aberration, Purple infringement and very low distortion level.
2: Impressive 720p video quality with rich colors and detail and very clear sound.
3: Acceptable battery life if you use high capacity rechargable batteries (2500 mAh Ni-MH is the best for this camera)
Cons
1: Very annoying vertical highlighted line in night video recording if the light source placed in the frame.
2: Low resolution LCD that you cant see any detail specially if you want to manual focus.
3: Very slow and noisy zoom function while recording video.

Best little Camera for Families and outdoor shots

I was given this Camera by my husband about 15+ years ago. I love it. It is compact and takes pictures of scenery, family, craft completions, possible troubles on my property, Just about everything.
I would recommend this to a friend!
