terrible battery life

Great camera, just carry TONS of batteries! After 50 pictures or so, I have to replace the 2 xAA batteries. If not for this inefficiency, the camera would be 5 star. Pictures are great
Cons: Short battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best camera for the money

Best camera for a busy mom, love it, love that it takes the clearest pictures of my toddlers moving!Totally worth the money
Pros: good battery life, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Heavy/Bulky

I took this camera to Hawaii last week and got some awesome shots. My daughter and I usually purchase identical cameras so we can trade off when necessary. She ususally makes an excellent choice. I want a camera with excellent zoom range so I can see the expression before I determine if the shot is good enough. I also want it handy to use. A bulky camera takes away from the enjoyment of the situation. This camera has both. It is also easy to handle and seems pretty sturdy. I only wish they could come up with a warning that says "your lens has water spots on it". My photos of Napali coast were less than ideal because my lens was dirty. I'd still buy this again in a heartbeat. Thanks for making it.
Cons: manual does not come with camera., i had to print out 185 pages and get it bound.

Excelent camera for the money. More features that you will be able to keep track of. Size is a bit different. Not a shrit pocket camera, but it does fit inside a coat pocket. Quality of photos is outstanding, wide angle (28mm) with 12X zoom make this a great all around camer.
Pros: Quality of pictures, Wide angle lens, 12X zoom, Takes eas to find and cheap AA batteries ( A BIG Plus) LCD screen

Love this camera!

I went from a Cannon film camera to this little digital. Finally got myself into the modern world of not having to develop extra pictures unnecessarily. I wasn't sure if I would like it since I do a lot of scenery shots using a large zoom lens. The zoom on this camera is just fine for the shots I take. The quality of the pictures is amazing for a camera that fits into my purse with no problem. The 12 megapixel and 12X optical zoom is just enough. I have even taken shots at night with the moon over the water, and the picture has come out clear. The only down fall of this camera is the battery consumption. When I know I'm going to have the camera on to take several pictures, I bring extra batteries with me. I have recommended this camera to my friends.

best camera for Moms

did approximately over a month of research to find the camera I was looking for. have been buying sony cybershots for years, spending too much money to only get a 2yr life span, needed a camera that will last and not have a long shutter speed for my kids and I have gotten more than I asked for w/this camera. I am not a pro, so I have lots of learning to do w/all it's features, but once you got it, you got it! My only complaint is that when using the flash, it has a "charging flash" delay, I have been having issues w/software for uploading my images to computer and would prefer for it not to use AA batteries, but that's not a biggy because you can get the rechargeable NIHM 4 pack and have an extra spare. I highly recommend this camera to Moms, camera is sturdy and has all kinds of cool features like color enhancement...LOve Love, Love this canera!!
Pros: beautiful color and clarity, easy to use, perfect for parents, love love love
Cons: pause when flash is charging, wish it didn't use aa batteries

Great camera for the price

I was surprised that the camera doesnt come with a Manual. I just recieved this as a Vday/anniversary presnt on friday 2/11 and The batteries that came with it were dead with in 3 hrs of trying to figure out the settings and features. My husband bought me ultimate lithium and I am hoping they last longer. I took multiple photos outside and the all came out great. My girls love the smile detection.( they think its magic) I just wish it was a little smaller, came with a manual and the flash popped up by itself. overall a great Buy

very nice camera

This is a very nice camera with a lot of professional features yet is easy and simple to use. It has a large, bright LCD screen and in the "auto mode" anyone can point and shoot great photos and videos.
The only things I would like to have seen with this camera is a storage case and rechargeable batteries. A charger and batteries are a must have with this camera and they will pay for themselves in a very short time. You can blow though a set of batteries in 1-2 days.

Cons: Missing features/settings, Short battery life
