I love my refrigerator!! The reason I gave it only 3 Stars on the Featured is because now if you want something out of the small drawers then you have to open both doorsKay!! Also it doesn't make a lot of ice!!

great features, quiet and ea use

We have had the appliance for several months and find it very good. The icemaker is quick and makes plenty of ice.
The water dispenser keeps the water cold for drinking.
My wife is overjoyed with the refrigerator and it's storage space.
It would be nice however if the front came in different colors. I would have preferred black, but despite that, we bought it anyway because of it's features and dependability.

Not Your Parent's Fridge

Human engineering played a major role when the bottom freezer was designed. Let's face it, how much time do we spend in the freezer versus the refrigerator section? So then why should we constantly bend over to access the one compartment you use the most? I hated that about all the refrigerators I grew up with.
And another thing. If heat rises and cold falls, why put the part of the refrigerator that's supposed to be the coldest on top? Once again, someone had their thinking cap on. I'm no scientist, but I'm willing to bet that I'm going to save $$$ thanks to that little bit of common sense.
And just a side note. Ever open the freezer door and had an avalanche of frozen foods land on your toes? It ain't gonna happen with this model.
And one last thing - the water/ice dispenser. The slim ice maker in the door doesn't rob you of shelf space like other designs do and the water dispenses outward away from the door so that you can fill those big pitchers that might not fit in other refrigerators.
My wife and I both agreed that we won't be making purchases like this very often, so we knew we had to do it right. Overall, I think we made a wise decision in our purchase and you might as well.

The refrigerator looks good and I like the cold water dispenser and the ice maker. But the compressor runs a very high percentage of the time and makes A LOUD HUM. The hum is both irritating and a constant reminder that the compressor is running and drawing electricity. Furthermore, when the compressor is running it generates noise in my ham radio. Yeah, I know - that wouldn't be a problem for most folks, but it definitely IS with me. I should have purchased a different brand.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the room

I really like my LG frig. Lots of room. I like the ability to put my pitchers all the way under to get water. The only thing that I would add is the ablity to start the water and walk away. To be able to push a button to say 16 oz, 32oz, al the way up to a gallon.

counter depth french door fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new LG counter depth fridge. I had the very first one made and it failed very quickly. I swore I would never purchase another but after researching and speaking with many I chose an LG again. I am glad I did.

Great refrigerator space
so much more room than my old side by side which fit into the same space
The freezer is fine too though I have an extra freezer in the garage for overflow.
The ice maker works fine, I just empty the ice into the bucket in the freezer when I think of it and it we have not run out yet.
All in all I've had it about a month and love it

Fridge did not work right out of the box. When techs arrived 5 days later they opened the back panel touched something and it started, only they don't know what they touched to make it work! Since then it has been working fine, i have no complaints.
