Do not buy this microwave!

This microwave was included in our condo so for now we are stuck with it. Whoever programmed the microcontroller for this microwave did a terrible job. It does not keep correct time when not in standby, to use the timer sometimes the microwaves starts even though you press the timer key, the inability to lower the beep volume or turn off, the beep will not stop if you open the microwave door (which defies the operational logic of every microwave produced since the 80's!) It's like they gave this microwave to a bunch of interns and told them "we want you to create the worst microwave in history, now go!) I just am glad we did not spend our money on it I would have sledgehammered this terrible microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was included in the appliance package with our new home. We negotiated for better refrigerator, range and dishwasher, didn't think a microwave would matter. Huge mistake! The door is nearly impossible to pull open. Often takes me 2-3 attempts. Whoever programmed it must have goofed because when it is done cooking is says "GOOD" on the display??? Why??? The beep is loud and can't be turned off. The only way to avoid that horrible beep is to catch it before it times out.
The description says it will hold a 9x13 dish...it will, but it will bang against the sides/door the entire time because there is no option to turn off the turntable. I spoke to a repairman about it and apparently Frigidaire has discontinued this feature. I am in the process of a warranty claim for the horrible door (local appliance installer said it is a defect in manufacturing and company needs to address) or else I would replace and never look back.
Lesson learned...research all appliances, even the inexpensive ones. You will use all of them a lot and the little nuisances will become big nuisances fast!
The only good thing about Frigidaire is when you make a call to customer service they are very nice and very helpful. All the repair people that have visited my home have been polite and respectful.

Looks Good, but no longevity here!

This is our second Frigidaire microwave we have purchased in two years. The reason we have purchased two in the last two years is because right around the time our warranty expires 11-12 months, the first microwave died on us in May 2014, so we bought another one because our warranty expired in May. A month before our warranty was set to expire for the second microwave started to make weird sounds and would burn out. We had one month left on the warranty {this started happening in April 2015 and warranty expires in May 2015} so the repair guy came and put in a new control panel and virtually re-wired the entire microwave. Lets see how long this one will last now. If I end up having to purchase another microwave I don't think I will buy this one again. Twice was enough. Although, The Frigidaire Gallery Stove and dishwasher work AMAZINGLY well!

Too much beeping!

whenever it finishes heating it beeps three times very load and very long beeps, even after I have opened the door it continues to beep. I hate the extra noise, my last frigidaire microwave stopped the beeping once the door was opened.

Good features; some annoying drawbacks

I installed this microwave to replace a previous Fridgidaire after 9 years of happy daily use. We loved the previous one. This one was easy to install, and had some new features--mainly in how the keypad operates. Some of these are meant to be for convenience, but are actually annoying. Most older 'waves allow you to punch in the cook time and hit start. Not this one; hitting 1, 2 or 3 automatically cooks for those minutes; the start button does the same in 30 sec increments. Also, most 'waves cancel when you open the door. This unit does not, and it beeps
incessantly when done cooking; if you don't hit cancel before opening the door, your in for some frustration. Otherwise, it works like every other 'wave I've used and has nice preset cook and defrost features that are easy to use.

We would like to recommend that you review the Manual Cooking section of your owner’s manual on page twelve for manual cooking instructions. You may also utilize these tips listed below.
Heating with high power level
1. Press Cook Time pad.
2. Use the number pads to enter desired heating time (cook time may be set up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds).
3. Touch START pad.
When heating has finished you will hear beeps and “Good” will display.
Heating with lower power levels
Example: to heat for 4 minutes at 70% power:
1. Press Cook Time.
2. Use the number pads to enter desired heating time.
3. Press Power Level pad once for power level 10 (100% power).
4. Use the number key to change the power level to 7. PL7 appears in the display (70 % power).
5. Press START pad.
When heating has finished you will hear beeps and “Good” will display.
