Works great!

I bought a new house and this was the microwave. I really like the way it cooks, and is easy to clean. The only thing we don't like is the noise of the buzzer for the timer and for the completed cooking. It is so piercing I am going to shut it off! The dog runs from the microwave because it hurts his ears!! Otherwise this is a great product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cheaper to replace than to repair

I bought this to replace the same make/model that malfunctioned out of warranty. The control panel started acting up (microwave turned on when the door was closed, and would not turn off). Would you believe that it would have cost almost as much to order a new control panel (to install myself) as it did to purchase a new one? Now I have a microwave in the "boneyard" to use for replacement parts.

Don't Buy

This microwave came preinstalled in our new house. It has a very annoying beep when it finishes cooking. It keeps beeping every minute until you remove the food. The external light is dim and does little to brighten the cooking surface of your stove. The exhaust fan is loud. It cooks food unevenly. We replaced this after two months of use. Save yourself unnecessary expense and headache, do not buy this microwave.

Powerful, but simple features

Heats things up well. Had to get it serviced within a year of manufacturing because it shorted out a fuse - but haven't had issues with it since. The only "problem" is when you are running the timer on the microwave - you can't also microwave something. Weird. It isn't a big deal, since we have other timers. But it's a little inconvenient.

I would pass on this model

I found it interesting that when I was talking to the management staff at my new and newly built apartment complex, I mentioned that I really do like the place except for... and they both said "the microwave" and I said "Yes!". It seems to cook fine but the door is difficult to open/close (major issue for her because of being a new mother) and the volume and length of the alarm when the food is done. Why does it need to beep loudly three times and then doesn't shut off when the door is opened? Because naturally the microwave won't operate when the door is opened (like it shouldn't)... light goes off when the door is closed (like it should)... why doesn't the alarm shut off?? Frustrating for me because I heat up my cats refrigerated raw food quickly (around 6 seconds) and then it beeps as if I've left the building. Honestly, I've wanted to hit it on several occasions. I would change my mind about this if there was/is an option for changing the alarm. And although I've only been using this for four months... it works fine otherwise.

Modest microwave for a modest price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit replaced a high-end unit from another manufacturer, and while I recognize that it won't have the same set of features, I'm puzzled and disappointed by some of their design decisions.
The tone that sounds on completion is overly loud, and continues to sound even after the door is opened. That's just crazy. The limitation of only 3 "quick start" choices (4 if you count the 30 second "start" button) is pretty slim. The fan has two settings: Loud and Will-You-Please-Turn-That-Thing-Off!
On the positive side, the turntable is a better design than I had on a more expensive unit.
Taking the good and bad points together, I probably should have spent a bit more and gotten a unit that was more thought out.

Hey Shari56, I am sorry that your microwave has been frustrating for you! This model doesn’t have the adjustable audible alerts option like some of our others do, so there is no way to adjust the volume of the beeps. You stated it is loud when it runs.
