Works well, but has flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave came with our new home. It heats and thaws well, but closing the door is loud. The light switch only had 1 setting and can't be dimmed. The beep will not stop unless you press the stop button. You can't run the timer and cook at the same time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible Microwave

We bought this microwave exactly a year ago and eleven months into the purchase the lights started flickering. They worked when they wanted. We thought they needed to be replaced but that was not the case. After a month of flickering, all of a sudden the entire microwave went out and it smelled burnt. From that day on it has not worked again. We have tried to unplug and replug it but nothing. The one year manufacturers warranty was over by three days when this happened. Do not buy...faulty microwave!!!

Poor user experience

This microwave came with our new home. It works as designed, but was designed poorly. After cooking ends, the oven notifies you with three, very long, loud beeps. Perhaps you're outside? Or in the attic? The basement? Maybe you passed out, or forgot you were making food? Don't worry, this microwave will make sure you know IT'S DONE COOKING THE FOOD. Want the beeping to stop before it wakes the baby? Well, you better run over and press Cancel. Want to add more cooking time without opening the door? Press Cancel first for that too. (Really?!?) Maybe you actually don't need that coffee you were reheating? Well go press Cancel, because if you don't this thing will beep three, long, loud beeps EVERY TWO MINUTES until your power goes out or the microwave ceases to function - whichever comes first. I know it sounds like a silly complaint, but Frigidaire designers are paid to think about these things. The least they could have done is allow you to turn down the beeping volume, or turn off the reminder beeps.

Noisy Beep After Warmed Food

The microwave works as expected and looks well with the other stainless steel appliances. However, when food has completed being warmed/heated, the beeps are so loud that I try to stop the microwave as least 1 or 2 seconds beforehand just to avoid hearing the noise. If I am away in another room for a few seconds and hear the microwave, of course, it is loud enough to remind me that I need to remove food from it. I do like that if food is not removed after a few minutes, you get another set of reminder beeps. Once again, the noise is annoying!

Appliance is fine- buzzer is horrendously loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave came with the new house we built. If I knew how loud thud buzzer was ( and the sound level cannot be adjusted!!) I would have never had it installed.
