Great to find a printer that prints & no internet

It is hard to find a simple printer. I have a 4635 that I love because it can copy or print but does not require an internet connection to install or operate. My new 6230 model is great for my pastoral ministry. I can write Christian songs, Record those songs and simply print the sheet music. Neither my ministry computer nor my printer goes on the network.

I'm sorry that you didn't have a very good experience with one of the cartridges you were sent. I can imagine how disappointing that must have been.
Ink usage determines how long a cartridge lasts, unless it was damaged or defective. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the air is dry. If you do a lot of photos and such, consider getting Instant Ink. The subscription plans let you pay by the page. Check out the details at the HP Instant Ink site: instantink.com
Here are some things that might help lower your ink usage:
- Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black and colored ink
- Use the black-only setting when you can, to save on colored ink
- Shut the printer down between uses; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
