Nice printer, user instructions lacking

Shipping was very fast and received in good condition. There are VERY limited instructions for set up and use of features. I have not been able to make wireless connection to the printer and online help was no help. I am using USB connection with my HP computer. Printer and copier functions seems to work well. I have not yet used the scanner or photo printing functions. The automatic double sided printing is a good paper saver for me. Printer size is good and it fits well on my computer desk.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the third photosmart printer I have purchased in my lifetime....they last a very long time and are great little machines for the home. The photo quality is wonderful and the print feature of two sides is a great feature. I am still learning all the things this little machine can do but set up is simple even with the wireless. My one and only gripe was that it is black, and why they changed all their printers to be black I do not know. I preferred the ones that were white, and that's the only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of the 5.

Better than expected

So far this printer has exceeded my expectations. It starts printing quickly and is very fast. It prints on both sides of the paper which I wasn't expecting. Overall a very good printer.

When it comes to printers, I have destroyed my fair share, from over use... and it didn't bother me, as there was always a better one that I could get. Well... those days I think have come to an end. This newly purchased HP Photosmart 6520 e-All-in-One Printer is one awesome printer! It has a stylish design and my gosh... was it ever simple to set up for use out of the box! The videos for installation and processes are so easy to understand and the wireless feature is great! Photos are beautiful and I didn't think I would like the 4 individual ink cartridges to deal with... but the advantages , as seen with photos from this ink system, are amazing! So far this printer has done everything I have asked of it accurately, reliably and professionally. This is one printer, I plan to hold onto for many years! It works seamlessly with my HP Pavillion dv6-6c 10us Entertainment laptop (notebook). Would highly recommend this printer to friends and family!

As a long-time HP printer user, I was concerned about the negative review of having to turn the tray to print both sides. I print both sides frequently. I told myself it couldn't be true and it wasn't!! Double-sided printing is automatic as it has been for years on my previous HP printers. I just finished 85 holiday cards on cardstock with no problem. I never have minded the noise of my HP printers as I can tell they are working while I do other chores. The footprint and height of this new one are smaller, which I much appreciate. The extension to hold the finished prints is much easier to slip out of the way so loading paper is much easier. All-in-all I am very pleased.

Great print quality

One of the ink cartridges was defective so I had to wait until a new one was sent out to get the printer set up. A little disappointed I had to wait but the customer service was very good. Once I got the replacement cartridge, it was simple to set up as was the wireless connection. Print quality is excellent. Haven't had it very long yet but so far am very pleased. Money well spent.

Everything I wanted and more!

Printer is for personal use but used everyday. Performance has been great. Needed a new printer to scan pictures and colors are great. One downside is you can only scan one picture at a time to be able to edit and crop. everything else that has been printed is fantastic.

Disappointed in quality of construction

The printer provides excellent quality. The construction is poor. The paper tray is flimsy and tab to swing out and pull up to catch paper could be broken off quickly. I have always used HP products but quality is not what I expected with the name this time. Will do more research before buying another HP printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
