A waste of my money!

DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT! FIND ANOTHER BRAND!
I bought this unit for two reasons-1 its ability to connect to a non-HDMI older model TV. 2-to watch WMV's and MP4 movies. The other functions (DVD, CD, MP3, JPEG) seemed to work ok-but that's NOT what I needed this unit for. Despite the fact that the Samsung website says the unit supports playback for WMV's and MP4, the unit refused to play them. I have wasted my money and my time trusting Samsung to provide a unit that actually does what they say it does.
NEVER AGAIN, SAMSUNG! I'M THROUGH WITH YOU! I will buy my new TV elsewhere when that time comes. And it WONT be a Samsung!
Pros: Inexpensive, connects to older model tv's, simple to set up and operate, relatively inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations, doesnt play mp4 or wmv, light flimsy-poor quality, no website support for this product., need a magnifying glass to read manual, manual instructions incomplete
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Playing all Region DVDs

I needed a player that would play DVDs that weren't USA (region 1) This 'Region Free' player fits the purpose very nicely, is easy to set-up and operate AND doesn't break the bank. I readily recommend it to anyone even if they don't have the specific need that impelled me to purchase it.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, easy to set-up & operate

Works like a charm. USB took a while to figure out what format they should be in. The instruction manual could use a little tweaking in that dept but otherwise i'm very happy with this purchase.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight, usb
Cons: no batteries included for remote

This product is easy to you and fits in a small space and it is dust free and that way it will still play your DVDS and it plays DVDS as well as CDS

DVD player for my DAD

I got this player for my dad who is 89 and has trouble with some devices. He has had no problems with this player so far, and it seems to operate perfectly. Thanks for a great inexpensive product!

This is the best DVD player for the cost.

For the money, I could not have been happier. I loaded a highly sensitive accoustic guitar piece and could hear every finger sliding nuance...the response was excellent. The video quality was more than satisfactory, and I couldnt expect more than I knew this product to be; a very cost effective basic cd/dvd player with some extra minor benefits. I would have been satisfied without the benefits. I would recomend this unit to anyone wit an IQ over 110. It is minimally complicated and a non-technically savy person would not have as easy a time appreciating the meandering button pushing to set up the video, but thats ok. They can pay alittle more and have it all done for them. All and all, the unit is cost effective and does what it says it can do.
