Made cooking easy

Makes cooking easy. Just have one setting and cook to the temperature on the meat thermometer provided. On one 20 lb propane tank I have cooked 2 turkeys, 2 chickens and 2 rib cook offs with propane remaining. Very efficient and no oil to deal with

So far I have cooked 2 turkeys in it and both came out superb. Very moist and perfectly browned skin. I have fried turkeys in the past and when you consider the tine needed to get the grease up to temp, this grease less fryer is much faster. Also, you don't have the hot grease spattering everywhere. A much safer way to fry a turkey or chicken.

I have now done 2 turkeys (12-13# each) with this fryer. Both done to perfection. They were done a little faster than the expected time. I did season the fryer between cooking as described and the second time was even crisper.

A must-have for grilling

I have owned the Big Easy for about 10 years now and use it more for chickens, ribs, pork tenderloins and veggies than I do for turkey. Consistently cooks as expected. I love being able to fire it up, start cooking, and forget about it. No flare ups, no opening and closing lids, no worries. Drip pan on bottom is great for sauces, too. Many reviewers have commented about rust. I live in an area with very high humidity and have no rust at all. I keep my Big Easy covered with the cover they sell. My only gripe would be needing more recipes for using the Big Easy.

I purchased this fryer a few years ago to be used primarily for camping trips. I have used this for turkeys, brisket, chicken, ribs, and brisket out in the backcountry with rave reviews. It has also become my go to unit at home for turkey and ribs. The meat comes out great with very little hassle and clean up. I greatly enjoy cooking up a perfect Thanksgiving turkey out in the middle of the backcountry... I am planning on doing another one this year on the Colorado River. If you are looking for a great portable outdoor fryer that is hassle free, this is an awesome choice that I am completely happy with.

Loved my first one. HATE my second one. After 4 years and 8 good turkeys the regulator failed so I ran out and bought my second one. Now four bad turkeys in a row. One Turkey thighs at 165 -170 and the breast meat raw have way through. Another time uneven cooking. Checking both thighs and breast temperature. Both thighs at 175 one breast at 165 the other at 145. Cause??? Low flame? Flame size and color blue at hole, and yellow tips about ½ in long. Bad LP tanks? I don’t think so. Always change or refill both tanks at beginning of hurricane season.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear this. Was the lid on the entire time? Has the regulator been reset? If the Big Easy is turned on or off incorrectly it can cause the safety device in the regulator to trip. This will cause a low flow and the regulator will need to be reset. This is an easy procedure that involves unhooking the regulator from the propane tank for a minute and then reattaching and following the lighting instructions for your Big Easy. Make sure that when your Big Easy is turned off that the Big Easy is shut off first and then the propane tank. I cooked a 23lb turkey and it was THE BEST FREAKING TURKEY EVER!!!! I was nervous that it wasn’t going to fit, but I squeezed it in and it still cooked beautifully. I brined it for 24hrs, pulled it out and dried off in fridge for 4 hours, oiled the outside and salt pepper and poultry seasoning, cooked for about 4 hours and rested for 20 min. DELISH! I’m trying two whole chickens tonight. Yum!
