This is a Great Cooker

I have had a Big Easy now for probably 4-5 years. I use to oil fry turkeys and it is a pain and a mess. I found that there is a learning curve to doing a turkey in this. It took about 4 turkeys to figure it out. Some of the reviews said that the turkey didn't cook all the way. That was my problem. I called Char Broil and they told me what to do and following there instruction and a little tweaking here and there I get perfect turkey every time without the mess and hassle. Turn it on and let it go. I found that buying the bunk bed roaster basket gets the turkey up off the bottom, so that the thigh meat will get done along with the white. Also I always let the turkey sit out 90 minutes prior to cooking it. Those two things make a huge difference. The only difference I can see, is that the skin doesn't get as crispy. As far as the meat goes, I can't tell the difference, in fact it may be a little better. This is a Great product !

I bought my Big Easy about 5 years ago, and every time i use it I get raves about the quality of the turkey. I bought it just to try it, and it turned out to be a real life saver at thanksgiving, I was able to cook the turkey outside and have the oven available for everything else. I have always left it outside covered when not in use, and have only recently noticed a little pitting on the steal finish. Its really well made.

I bought the char-broil a while a go and I have cooked turkeys, chickens,pork roast and let me tell you this I fine that the meat comes out just as juicy as if it were deep fried also I fine I don't use as much gas as I would if I were deep frying the same meat.
I also bought a extra basket, rib rack, and the rack for putting small pieces of meat on.

We originally purchased this for our Thanksgiving turkey...the price seemed right and the logic behind the "healthier" version of fried turkey definitely peaked our interest. OH MY GOSH! We had THE BEST turkey ever!! Every single person has raved about how juicy and scrumptious it is. We have done just the turkey breasts as well as we just tried a rib roast - to die for! We will be purchasing the additional tray so we can try cooking vegetables at the same time as the meat. Living in Arizona and temperatures reaching 110+ in the summer, being able to turn it on and leave it and not stand by a hot grill is a plus...but to get such an amazing product at the end. We love to put a lot of seasoning on things...this cooker just makes the end product so good there are never leftovers!

i bought the big easy fryer several months ago i have used it many times so far. the pork roasts are awsome. ribs come out great and the chicken and turkeys are just da bomb. the gravy tray is such a nice feature. it is so nice to have home made gravy. rubs stay on and there is no oil mess or disposal of old oil. no pre heating. i still havent figured out why the lid works the way it does but omg does it work and work great. i would recommend the big easy oil less fryer and have many times over and over again.my friends have loved the food so much they too have bought them. love at first taste

I bought this as a gamble I already have a oil fryer but it takes too much time for prep and clean up . Cooking time is longer with the charbroil but the overall time is shorter and the flavour of the food is equal and also you have more options of what you can cook in the big easy . The only change I would make is instead of a basket for the turkey , have a base with a rod up the middle that would support the turkey with a hook at the top for removing , then sides of turkey would not stick and would be easier to remove to a platter .
