I have four units and have had numerous problems with the regulators not working properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear this. Has the regulator been reset? If the Big Easy is turned on or off incorrectly it can cause the safety device in the regulator to trip. This will cause a low flow and the regulator will need to be reset. This is an easy procedure that involves unhooking the regulator from the propane tank for a minute and then reattaching and following the lighting instructions on your Big Easy. Make sure that when your Big Easy is turned off that the Big Easy is shut off first and then the propane tank. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

Two underdone turkeys

We followed the directions stating 10 mins per pound. We had 12 lb turkey and after three hours we still had some undercooked parts, mainly the bottom half of the turkey. We ended up putting it in the oven to cook the rest of the way. A couple days later we tried a 9lb turkey but we left the lid on the entire time thinking maybe that will help. SAME PROBLEM! We have made ribs and they turn out great but we won't be making a turkey with this again.

My wife bought this because I told her i would like one for Christmas but she got it early in hopes that i would be able to cook Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys. I used it for the first time last night, 21 Nov. 2017 and I tried cooking a chicken first just to test it out. I watched videos on youtube and everyone seemed thrilled with this thing and most of the videos and chats about chickens say it took around 1.5 hours to fully cook a chicken and the skin seemed to be nice and crispy. I cooked the chicken for 2 hours and the breast was still pink and the thighs were bloody, the skin was not crispy at all. I even put the wire lid on in hopes that this would help cook it but it didn't help at all. The temp. outside was about 55° and no wind. Needless to say we didn't have chicken for supper, put it in the fridge and will finish cooking it on a real grill. I don't understand what all the hype over this thing is .

It could be great

I don't use mine often enough maybe 2 or 3 times a year. I like the product, in fact I like it so much I've purchased 2 of them. But the regulator needs to go. I just pulled out my second unit last night in preparation for Turkey day and guess what, it wouldn't work. I troubleshot the problem and found the regulator was stuck partially open and wouldn't move so it wouldn't allow the correct amount of gas out. I was not going to buy another one again so I decided to McGuyver it. I pulled my really good regulator and hose from my Crawfish burner and a 1/2 to 1/4 reducing fitting, hooked it up and I'm back working again. I wish I could give it 4 stars but until it has a better regulator I can't.

I purchased this for my father for Thanksgiving. After 5 hours of cooking the turkey, we ended up eating the turkey we cooked in the oven, and having to put the turkey we cooked in the fryer in the microwave due to it being raw.

Worse product Ive purchased in years ...12.91 lb turkey been cooking for 4 hrs and its totally raw on the bottom followed all the instructions such as seasoned the inside and all ...only to be let down withthis thing

I’ve had the Big Easy for several years now and can’t say enough good about it. Perfect turkey every time! This year, I used a Cajun Butter injection, rubbed it with Florida Heat and then drizzled honey over it just before it finished cooking. Makes for a really pretty caramelized skin and you can just drizzle it on without removing the turkey from the fryer. Yummy!
I would recommend this to a friend!
