Was great... when it worked

This thing was amazing when it was working. Made turkey so stupidly simple, it gave me time to work on the sides without worry. However, one day suddenly the gas line wasn't feeding properly. Likely something plugged it up, not sure, but here's the kicker - this thing doesn't seem to have a replacement line, or even a (good) way to detach the existing hose. I'm very much a fix, not replace, kind of person. I see other reviews on here that say things like "This is our third one!"... why did you have to buy three? Oh right, because you can't do maintenance on it. If it breaks, it breaks, throw it out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Trapdoor bottom needed

3rd year using this and absolutely love it!! However, this year, the turkey's wings were caught on the basket. Removing the bird was very difficult. If there were a spring trap bottom the turkey would have slid right out instead of becoming mangled.

I have had a Big-Easy for about 15 years. I use it three to five times a year, Especially Thanksgiving! I Now have 2, one for Ohio, and one for Florida.

Love this fryer!!!

I have owned a Big Easy for almost 10 years now and absolutely love it. Previously I had used peanut oil to cook my holiday turkeys. The Big Easy makes the process SO MUCH EASIER! There is less mess, and less worry that you’re going to start a fire or burn yourself. Just put a thermometer in the bird and sit back and relax until it reaches 165 degrees. No adjusting of the heat is necessary. I usually cook in my garage which is a no-no when using oil and is way more comfortable than being outside most winters. The Big Easy really is easy and I would highly recommend it to anyone! Five stars all day long!

The big easy is GREAT! Bought it for a turkey. First try was flawless. Crisp skin and juicy meat. Then I did a fresh picnic. Delicious. Then I did some baby bac ribs. Entire family said they were the best they had ever had. (Of course the rub and sauce I found online helped that) So easy to use. You will not regret it. And try other things besides a turkey so that you don't just have a 1 trick pony.

This was given to me several years ago. The oil less fryer is a breeze to use and everyone loves everything I have cooked in it! I only have one issue. Not with the fryer but I have not been able to find a replacement mesh lid. I have checked several web sites and the only one that even listed it said it was discontinued.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fell in love with it from day one. We have made some awesome meals with it. From prime rib , to ham , and of course turkey or chicken. Absolute best for bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers.

Perfect for roasting. Assembly was simple. The lid does make a difference, which should not be underestimated. I roasted a chicken in about two and a half hours, and only put the lid on for the last 30 minutes to get the skin to crisp.
