I bought the Linksys Advanced DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem, certified for Comcast, in late June (2015), called the cable company, had it linked and loaded, and haven't had a problem since. Considering the cost of renting the cable modem from the provider, the Linksys will pay for itself in less than a year. I do recommend (if you have Comcast).

I was having trouble... My Internet connection was slow...I was losing the Internet conection often. I was paying for a top-notch speed from my Internet provider... I knew I needed a new modem able to provide me with reliable Internet connection with zero interruptions. I decided to get a LINKSYS modem (did a serious research) to complement my state of the art LINKSYS Router. It was easy - unpack, plug in, call cable company for activation and ready!!! I connected modem to router, they liked each other right away!!! Pure love! Since then... No more problems, stronger signal, fast as a Ferrari! Now I am happy, satisfied and my more than 10 devides are running without having any delays, movie streaming is a breeze.... Thanks to Linksys! Great to have a company that provides quality and that always is finding new technologies to please their customers.

Does not work with TWC in Buffalo NY

Modem repeatedly rebooted while on the TWC network in Buffalo NY. I returned two modems they both did the same thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this modem to replace my Motorola cable modem for about a week. It works better than the old one. It is faster and more reliable, especially on streaming video. So far, I am happy with it.
