The fan is broken after 2 years of use

The fan is broken for me after 2 years of use. The fan should really last longer, for at least 5 years. Computer won't boot up if room temperature is high. Also very hard to repair. $200 at the local computer shop, can't even order the part online by myself.
Will not recommend for future buy.

The x230 is a good laptop, missing some features like HDMI port, but the overall is fine for a very light and compact laptop.

Light and big enough

This thing is very light. I always laught at people carring a very thin apple laptop, which looks thinner and lighter but actually heavier. Moreover, with the 9 cell battery, I get at least 6 hours usage. I do not understand why people complaining about the trackpad. Who will use the trackpad when they have a Thinkpad. JUST USE THE RED DOT!
