i am returning this item 4 ink cartridges is way to much to have to replace..my black ink ran out in 1 WEEK!!!

Love the Epson WorkForce WF-2540

I love this printer! It was inexpensive and easy to set up, and, best of all, it produced beautiful prints and copies for me. I've looked for a long time for a printer that will not only give me good quality document copies and photos, but will also print quality photos on fabric. I am a quilter and fabric artist, and printing on fabric is as important to me as paper. The fabric prints look almost just like the photo prints. My long-time problem is solved. Epson and DuraBrite ink rock!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had it awhile but used a couple of times when I bought this got extra ink so would have setup printed and quickly used up black ink and not printing much ..added new ink and printed ended up with ink all over page and emptied out another cartriage on 3rd and last try and it has been costly

Easy set-up and so far I like it. Was disappointed that a USB cable was not included. Also there is no selection for cardstock when printing. The little bit of color printing I tested was on cream colored cardstock and the color came out dark. It seems like a really nice printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Printer - Easy to Use

The printer is overall very easy to install. It's definitely fast for a home printer BUT if you want something as fast as an office printer, maybe get the 3540 which is faster than this one. It is compact and doesn't take up too much space. It prints well in color but it's not at the level of an office printer. Also, certain copies (like that of a passport) do not come out well. I primarily purchased this printer to print homework assignments and the like. For this purpose, the printer is great. I would definitely recommend if you do not plan to do major printing or want top notch color printing.

Initially, it was the best printer/all in one of this type(home/personal) I'd ever used: easy setup, fast, clean, printing and clear scans. Then, after only 4 or 5 monhts, it suddently stopped printing. new ink cartridges, several troubleshooting attempts, all according to instructions, and to no avail. It simply would not print-- no smudges, dots or lines, just blank page after page. And yes, the nozzles on the cartridges were open and clean. Very frustrating and the problem is still not fixed even though the machine is under warranty. if the problem IS fixed soon, I will revise my review.
