Just installed it as a network printer, printed a test page, but the scanner program doesn't work, gives a communication error. This is NOT what I paid for!

I've just read a number of reviews since I was concerned that "I" was the problem and not the printer, but in reading I see others with similar problems. Have just had this printer a few months and will probably end up in "debtor's prison" trying to feed the thirsty thing!!! Can't tell you how many times I've had to change the cartridges--got desperate enough to try "remanufactured" ones to cut cost, but SOON LEARNED that Epson voids the Warranty upon using them. I do print a lot and would be delighted if I could figure how to use only Black Ink, hoping that would cut down on operating costs. Not a happy camper!

poor poor service from this printer this is my third one the others just stopped cold went toally dead this one wont print it will copy no scan or print from pc accept google cloud is all it will do? weird system here for sure

Had for a year, works great. No problem. very reasonable price though ink cartridges are expensive.

This is my second epson printer previous one is Stylus NX430 that I purchased more than two years before & still working fine but I bought this one for Fax .Very easy to set up just took couple of minutes to connect to my all machines & working fine .I am very satisfied.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A difficult WIFI setup

After several attempts, the WIFI keeps "kicking out" on this unit. Although the printer is ok, but very slow, I am disappointed overall.

I bought the WF-2540 because it was inexpensive and looked like it would fit easily on my desk. It does fit easily but a larger one would fit also. I wish I had bought a larger, newer printer. I will live several years, I hope, with this printer. Epson customer assistants were very helpful in getting this printer to work after I had a great deal of trouble with it. The main problem may be my age. I started out with an Apple IIe when getting on the internet meant a 150 mi. long distance call to get on and everything was text only. Now my skills at setting up a new printer are slipping.

Hey I am no printer expert this Epson 2540 has worked very well with each task that I give it The ink like any other brand is exspensive I am sorry but to get around that I buy aftermarket ink Its a lot cheaper and works just as well if not better But to the point I am very satisfied with my purchase of Epson 2540
