Installation

I like the printer, but the installation proceedure is
somewhat hard to comprehend. It's more complicated than any of the five printers I've had previously.
I registered the thing online, but on the printer itself it tells me that it is unregistered. An it wants an email address for it that I can't find despite all the suggestions provided.
I'm sure I'll come to appreciate the printer as soon as I can make contact with a knowledgeable person to help me figure things out.

I bought this printer a couple of months ago; install is way to long but it has great features and works with both Mac's and PCs. We recently had a power outage and now IT WON'T work. I spent 4 hours uninstalling the software on two of my computers, deleting all instances of the previous printer and reinstalling the software, still not working. EVEN USING THE USB cable, the installation software keeps erroring and I am now it works for no one. The FAQ's and help is NO HELP. There are no options to setup the different functions separately-i.e. epsonconnect, wifi, scanning, physical printing. It seems to be all or nothing. I'm very irritated!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have used out WF 2540 for quite a while, now. It has printed photos, legal documents, letters, and other documents, both from e-mailed items to just copying items. We have used the flat scanner, and primarily the auto-feed feature. I would definitely recommend this printer to others.

Wanted it for scanning, won't do it

What a piece of junk! Directions for scanning are so simple. Especially to a USB device which is all I want to do. Insert USB device. Select scan to USB device. Then press the Color print button. Sometimes I get a message that says "place document in ADF" whatever that is. Doc is already in place for scanning. Sometimes I get message that it is an "invalid operation." Beats me why every intuitive function results in an "invalid operation" message. My old half broken printer/scanner (reason for new purchase) scans 1000% better and easier than this. Still have no scan after an hour of trying. This trash goes back to store tomorrow. Once it actually did something, made noise for a minute, thought it worked, put USB into my computer, nothing was there. Still no scan. Sorry, but whatever your "tips" for a review say, my attitude is perfectly appropriate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easiest Installation Ever

I just purchased this Epson printer for my second home. I just unpacked and installed it and it was by FAR the easiest installation (including wireless) I've ever done. I have an HP all-in-one printer at home (which cost at least twice as much as this Epson and doesn't have all the features!). Complex set up and the wireless still doesn't work half the time. Kudos on a great installation process. It was seemless. So far I am very impressed with this printer. (It also has a very small footprint compared to other printers)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good equipment for the price

I purchased this as a general workhorse for home based business purposes and have not been disappointed in any way. Print quality is very good for an ink jet printer, set up was easy and the options are many and easy to find.
I do wish that I would have purchased a slightly higher end version of the Work Force series, one with a paper drawer instead of the rear paper feed as this would eliminate constant loading whenever I need to quickly print something.
As of this review, I find everything as or more than expected.
I chose Epson because I also use a Stylus Photo R1900 printer for photography purposes and . . . .well, you would have to see how it prints photos to believe it.

All and all it's a good all in one .

I have had this product for 2 year's now . Prints good the scanner is grate . And I use the Fax a lot . The only problem I have with it is that my P.C. says it not on line a lot . The printer 's WI/FI light is on but it will not print from the P.C. until I uninstall the printer and redetect it again .the it will work again for a bit . But other than that I like it .
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like my priter I would like to know how to work it and would like to print from my android phone. I found out why I could not work it it needed wifi to make it work now I have wifi and for the first time I am trying to get the printer set up.
