Black Ink Capacity is WAY TOO SMALL!

It's easy to install & set up. Operates flawlessly.
However, it's black ink capacity is slightly more than a teaspoon and there is no ability to install a larger black ink cartridge. And THAT is a major shortcoming! Otherwise it performs as advertised.

I purchased the WF-2540 about three months ago and love it. I have previously had several products. Each were good for awhile but all of them didn't last very long. This one is superb! I think it will outlast the other ones easily! Highly recommend you take a serious look....... I like the fax capability. Easy to load new ink cartridges etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We bought this to use for light printing and scanning- we didn't want to use our R1900 for basic things-- it was incredibly easy to set up (including wifi) and prints quickly and well-- no issues, ink isn't that much money and it doesn't go thru it very fast-- we've been very pleased by it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Because of my previous experience with Hewlett-Packard printers (two failed within a month of each other and shortly after warranty periods ended) I'd prefer writing this review later - a month or so after the end of the warranty period, but since you asked:
Once I learned how to read and interpret the directions on the printer's screen, especially those related to scanning, I found the WF-2540 to be a good one. Text print outs are clear. Warnings about ink levels are valuable.
The one disappointment has been printouts of photos. There appears to be an overlap of sections so that a denser visible horizontal line appears in the hard copy.
I'm hoping that this printer will outlast my last two. The first printers I owned lasted for years and years.
