Great Printer With an Exception

I really enjoy this printer. It's easy to figure out the setup even if you're not using the disc. It prints well and quickly.
I have three issues with it. It's still relatively new, we've had it for about two months and don't print often at all, so these issues are hard to understand.
First is needing to change our router channel every now and then to actually connect to out with our computers. There is also a line that shows on every scan right about the middle of the page length wise. The last issue is that it's a fairly loud printer.
Other than those things it works well. I probably wouldn't use it for a business though. I wouldn't want to have to take the time to trouble shoot it regularly due to connectivity issues with wireless printing nor would I want to deal with that if I was trying to print or scan something under a time crunch. I also would want my documents to be a professional looking as possible and a mark the entire length of a document certain wouldn't convey professionalism, but it is a good printer for home and school use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Printer is a Joke

I bought this printer because it stated I could print with only black. I found out that even printing in black uses a little ink from all the colors. Thus, they made a false statement in their marketing.
PLUS, this company executives are similar to DRUG DEALERS. They intentionally create real small cartridges and link them to each other so you run out faster and if one runs out, you can't use the printer.
This has to be EXTORTION. They are intentionally preventing you from using ink that you purchased UNTIL you buy more ink. This has to be ILLEGAL. It's on the level of EXTORTION. Its similar to the banks reorganizing your debits so they can create more over drafts.
I SEE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT HERE. I SAW THE BANK CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN 2009 AND NOW THE BANKS ARE SETTLING FOR HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. I'M CALLING MY ATTORNEY.

A good investment for me.
I save the money I used to spend at public COPY centers.
The WF-2540 provides options in a "crisis". I can now get documents transported (FAX) quickly, saving the money I used to spend on professional couriers.
I can also SCAN remotely from research centers (such as libraries, museums, and records collections) to a cloud, then PRINT or store as digitized data at will. This saves time, money, and space I used to expend making paper duplicates, buying more and bigger file cabinets, and devoting more living space to stacks of paper.
The biggest advantage is that the WF-2540 takes so little space. There is no way I could have a separate scanner, copier, printer, and fax machine in my small city apartment.
I have arrived, finally, to the digital age...and it feels great!
