I HATE IT

I needed a machine with a small footprint so I chose the WF-2540 for it's size. I have never purchased an Epson product before and never will again. I am so disappointed with this machine and become more and more disappointed every time I try to use it (owned it since 8/2014). First off it is very slow. The automatic copy/scan feeder doesn't ever feed straight and that causes it to jam. The regular paper feeder doesn't feed straight either.
I have never been driven to the point of writing a review of a product, but this machine is a hunk of junk. Don't waste your money.

WORST PURCHASE HORRIBLE PRINTER

HAS NOT WORKED PROPERLY SINCE DAY ONE OUT OF THE BOX. I replace cartridge like it says and when I go to print it prints blank. call customer service no help. best idea is to throw it away. NEVER PURCHASE EPSON AGAIN

How Many Times?

I read reviews for this product when I first purchased it, and there weren't really any bad. I don't use it everyday, but when you don't use it for a while, the ink dries a bit, and you end up using up ink just trying to get it to work right, so you end up having to buy ink a lot. The last time I printed something was less than a month ago, and I can't get to print out a return label properly.

I gave it one star because it looks pretty. However, if possible I'd give it a zero on functionality. I have cartridge full of black ink and want to print in black & white however because one of the color ink cartridges is empty I can't print, thus I'm forced to purchase more ink. It constantly needs to be re-aligned and it skips printing every other sentence.

I have had nothing but trouble with this printer. The rear paper feed is totally useless, the first time I tried to use it created such a severe paper jam that I had to use pliers to get the paper out, and it was quite difficult to figure out how to even look for paper jams. The wireless regularly has to be reconnected. The instructions on replacing ink are not user friendly. I have repeatedly had problems printing for no apparent reason. I will certainly never buy another Epson.

Major Disappointment

I thought this had some decent reviews so I purchased for our homeschooling needs. I found it easy to get working wirelessly and that is the only positive thing I have to say. The third time I went to replace the black ink I used a store brand. I got an error message saying that my warranty would be void if I didn't use Epson ink. I did not know this ahead of time and needed to print something important and went ahead and used the ink. I didn't have any problems after cleaning print heads and performing printer maintenance. I printed several times and then randomly received a print error. The printer received the print job but wouldn't print. No code was given so I don't know what the problem is. When I troubleshoot the printer, it gives an indication that the problem is resolved. I have tried this several times. It still won't print. It showed low levels of color ink so I replaced with Epson ink. Same problem. Argh. This is very frustrating as it won't indicate what needs to be done to solve the problem. I have had this printer for about three months. Another thing I don't like is how the paper feeds into the machine. Most of the time the page is skewed (I need to hold the paper in place) and doesn't feed squarely so the image is off.

Worst Purchase Ever !

Print 7 or 8 pages and you will need to buy more ink. I cannot believe how fast the ink runs out and the cartridges are not cheap! Do yourself a favor and do not buy this unless you like wasting money.
