WF-2540 all-in-one

Bought this, after reviewing lots of reviews and specs, to replace an HP all-in-one that was problematic and eventually died. This Epson printer has all the bells and whistles you'd probably expect from a printer of its price range. The built-in FAX, and the ability to send a FAX two ways (direct dial; via computer) is great. Installing the drivers for two Macs (one running 10.7, the other 10.6.8) couldn't have been easier; likewise for getting wireless connectivity. Time will tell how much of an ink hog this will be, since nearly all our printing will be B&W.

My All in One, My Friend

For the last six or seven months I have copied and printed many very old pictures (my grandparents wedding in 1905). This printer has given me beautiful copies with the option of color print which causes old black and white prints ton take on a sepia color. It also lets me enlarge or shrink the size of the photos. it prints beautiful letters and journals. The ink is easy to change. The printer even gives a "low ink" message so one knows when to order ink. I would commend this printer to anyone. It is a WF2540.

I have yet to find a printer that within a year, the cost of ink exceeds the price of the printer.

Great Printer for the Price

First Epson Printer I ever bought. I told my husband, I never really write reviews, but I want to for this. First it is light-weight. I hate wires/cords, you get so many...not with this one. 2...that is it! You can connect via USB cable or Wi-fi. But just the ease of unpacking, setting up, getting connected (printing/faxing) in the 2 days I have had. It has been a BREEZE!! Also, I am not a electronic person when it comes to this type of work. But this printer was so simple!! Would have gave 5, but need time to really try some of other options out on it. Ex: scanning/copying/mobile to printer....that will be a experience? I have Faith, Epson will come thru and make that simple also~

This printer was very easy to set up and so far I have not had any issues with it. I like the 2-sided copy feature which is so easy to use. I also like the speed in which the copies are made. I would recommend this all-in-one for anyone.

Was easy (if somewhat time consuming) to set up ... wireless to my desktop and laptop. However, I can't figure out how to use the Google Cloud Print Services, and the printer shows "unregistered." I don't have a landline telephone, so the fax will remain unused.

After trying other brands for many years, this is the best printer I have owned in the last 10 years. Very reliable printing, copying and scanning. I connect with a cable, so have not used the wifi, and I scan to e-mail, so do not use the fax...
