Not a good choice

This kind of printer is not economic because of ink . It is unbelievable how fast the ink runs out .

Very poor quality and requires ALL ink colors.

Bought this printer for the price and have 3 major issues with it (Keep in mind, I'm an IT professional):
1. Never been able to get the wifi print function to work.
2. Requires ALL ink cartridges to be full. For example, I have a FULL black ink cartridge and want to print a black and white copy, but if any of the other color cartridges are empty, you CAN'T PRINT. In my opinion this is the worst issue because it's not a technical flaw, it's a DESIGNED restraint to force users to constantly purchase unnecessary ink cartridges from Epson.
3. print heads get misaligned often causing you to constantly re-calibrate in order to get clear copies.

Disappointing

I have had this printer a little over a year. I don't print a ton, I maybe have to purchase a pack of paper once every 3 months. At first it was working great. About a month into the purchase, I started having issues with printing through wifi. Next it went through a insane amount ink. I've bought more of each individual color ink cartridges than I have of packs of paper. The printer quality I'd rate as poor. Now, even tho paper is loaded correctly, it keeps telling me to add paper. I've owned three Epson printers and the last two have taken a dump on me. I will be switching to a new company.

I've own Epson printers for quite a while and use frequently with my business. Most complaints I see are about nozzle clogs and cleanings. Here is a simple procedure. If you only use your printer occassionally, turn it off! The head will park itself on a pad underneath and prevent ink on the head from drying out, which will happen with any printer if not used frequently. Also, start a print job then unplug the printer. That way you can move the head with your hand. Use a syringe and place a small amount of alcohol in the pad where the head parks. This will also prevent the ink from drying on the printhead. Let the head sit overnight then print a job and see if quality improves. Weekly, I always print out a self made purge chart for all colors. It uses a lot less ink than a cleaning and helps keep print heads clear.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Almost a complete disappointment

The printer works great for the first month, then you start running out of ink. Thats when it starts getting very expensive.
The printer will require an extensive amount on maintenance, I have to do a Head Cleaning an Alignment almost every time I want to print something. This is about half of my total usage at this point.
Find another inexpensive printer. At this point it will be cheaper to just trash this and buy a whole new printer than keep pumping more money into cartridges

Works ok, but if I use non Epson ink they have a ridiculous set of messages that must be responded to before it lets you print!
I think this is ridiculous, because, Epson cartridges are so much more costly than the non Epson ones that I save enough with only 3 or 4 sets that I could buy a new printer! This will thus be my last Epson printer! Oh yea, I used to sell printers & always recommended Epson because I thought they were better. No More!

If color ink is low.....

it will still not let you print with only Black cartridges. I had a new black cartridge in printer and would not let me print....I had to go ahead and order the color pack...
