Easy Install

This little beauty had a very easy install on my PC! I looked over the card and glanced at the list. I think this one I could have figured out myself and you can't always say that! WIFI was quick, used the key pad on the printer just to avoid the hooking up another cable I won't need. Faster than taking the time for the cable!
Love it so far!

Problems Encountered

I've only had the product for about a month. Only the black ink ran out from the initial cartilages, so when I brought new ones, I had to change all the cartilages because they would not fit in the slot. After changing the cartilages, the black ink would not print, so I continue to have problem after problem with the printer. I am going to have to purchase another printer and I've only had this one just over a month. A Waste of MONEY.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't worry about the 1131 error during install of drivers.
It is so nice to have a printer that uses WiFi!

this is my second Epson and it was so easy and user friendly to set up..love it!! only tiny complaint is the top doesn't open wide enough for big hands to insert print cartridges. the price was awesome even though the big box store employee said it was junk. don't believe them!!

Great printer as expected

First of all I have to admit I am an EPSON fan and not so much a fan of other manufacturer's and I like the support I receive from EPSON and not so much (at all) from their competitors. I have owned many and now own a Workforce 1100 and a 3880 for my photography and another Epson printer/scanner/fax at home (don't recall the model #). The reason I purchased this WF-2540 was to merely replace an EPSON flatbed scanner as my existing one (still working) wasn't compatible with a new Dell computer I purchased (needed a higher bit rate). To get the older scanner to work with my newer 32 bit computer, I had to go download 3rd party software, which was free as long as I didn't mind the watermark on my print outs (which of course I did mind). To get rid of the water mark I had to pay them money and why do that when the drivers come with the new scanner. So, I decided to buy new and I had my eye on another flatbed, which wasn't in stock at the store I chose to go to. So, I saw this WF-2540 and decided to buy it and also take advantage of the copy and printer feature. I already have a fax machine and so don't use that part of it. And I already have copy machine, but it is located in another office. Now I have a copy machine right on my desk and so that is a bonus. And, of course, there is the scanner too. I like the two sided printing feature. There are fewer ink cartridges and I notice they are cheaper even for the higher capacity ones and so I like that to. I've only used it for two days, but I have used all features with the exception of the fax and I simply love it. One more observation...it is very intuitive. Didn't have to read the manual to figure it out.

This printer is a compact all-in-one printer. The print is clear, instructions for set-up was easy to follow. The wireless feature is amazing.
So far, very impressed with the technology.
