Constant Problems

I have had nothing but problems with printer. Not user friendly, constanty having "communication errors", does not print smoothly, eats papers when I try to scan. Literally the worst printer I have ever dealt with.

can not print black

this printer makes you buy all of the color cartridges if you need to print only on black.
if you have an empty cartridge you will not be able to print any other color

Lousy printer

I am thoroughly fed up with this lousy printer. It's very slow to print, scan or copy. The auto document feeder constantly jams. After 20 or 30 print jobs, the print quality becomes very poor and the ink cartridges must be recharged (wasting ink) to get it to clear up. Next time there's an electronics pickup in town, this thing is off to the dump.

IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS PRINTER WONT PRINT IF ONE OF THE INKS ARE LOW NOT EVEN IF ITS RED INK AND YOUR TRYING TO PRINT OUT BLACK AND WHITE LETTER IT USES WAY TO MUCH INK AND VERY EXPENSIVE TO BUY THE VERY SMALL CARTRIGES ALWAYS HAS A MESSAGE LOW ON INK IM GOING TO SHOP AROUND FOR A BETTER PRINTER ANY ONE WANT TO BUY THIS ONE?LOL

Not worth the money or hassel

This printer uses entirely too much ink. I was warned by the salesperson but thought she was exaggerating. It is not often that I need to print so I thought it would be fine. Not only is the ink excessive, it is also now giving me problems with the nozzle. I have cleaned and checked the nozzle as instructed but I am still getting missing segments on each page. Spare yourself the pain.

1) complicated software 2)when I'm copying, the document feed has to be reset every time because it says that there's a document jam - even when there isn't 3) copies are often crooked with a black line down one side 4) Eats ink 5) difficult to find the print setting for "black and white" - see issue #1 & #4
I knew it would print slowly from the other reviews so I guess I can't complain about that

WHY YOU SHOULD BUY AN EPSON

As a business professional I need to have a reliable means to print documents. I have tried every brand of printer out there over the last 16 years. The one and only brand that I have found to be reliable, easy to use, pc/mac friendly, clear and concise premium print quality (consistently) and overall extremely durable has been the EPSON name.
I have been, personally and professionally satisfied with EPSON and it is the only brand of printer I recommend to both my family and clients when asked, "what brand of printer should I get David?", since I am in the Technologies Industry. My answer is always EPSON.... I tell them it is the Best Printer Name out there. It is price competitive for features needed, Ink Costs are generally low and overall equipment durability is unbeatable in both workmanship and lifespan of consistent printing.
So since I get to write this review and you are reading this. Know this... If you line up printers and ask me which one I would buy.. My answer will always be.. an EPSON......
Because EPSON is the NAME I TRUST when it comes to printing/scanning/faxing!
I would recommend this to a friend!

worst printer ever. do NOT buy it. i keep writing a review and it's never posted - this is the 5th bad review i've given so no more details other than to say this printer never prints and wastes expensive ink.
