What a wi-fi joke. Every other wi-fi printer that I have had was easy and simple to connect. This one has wasted two hours of my time trying to connect it. What a crock....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

reading some of the reviews regarding installation of this product made us a bit nervous. nevertheless, it seemed like the best printer for us; we bought it; installed it. no problem! it was easy (we followed the directions in the package). this printer is plenty fast for our use and the print quality is excellent. highly recommended. oh, and by the way, we are tech novices. cheers!

I just got it hooked up. I'll be glad to give you a review when I've had time to use all the functions.
I CAN tell you that I'm not a "techie", so it took me hours to hook it up to my Wi-Fi, BUT IT WASN'T THE MACHINE'S FAULT. Once I figured out what I was doing, the 2540 made it easy on me.

awesome little printer

I love this printer, it is small enough to fit on a small shelf and no wires to connect to the desktop. Wireless printing from my tablet and phone and cool little perks, like it just asked me (since my black ink is almost gone) if I would like it to mix all the ink colors for this print job! Since it is really late I can print it and not have to run out to the store! Hurray!

I purchased the printer because of the small footprint. In addition to the great print quality, I have really appreciated the straight thru paper feed path. This is far superior to the other printers that we have owned. This is a great little printer.

WF-2540 vs. StylusPhoto RX580

After several years of heavy usage, my RX-580 ceased operation without warning. My choice of replacement being the WF-2540 is continuing to prove equally adequate. It's footprint is slightly less,it is faster with comparable quality as well as providing adequate loading capacity.This experience is based on only a 3-month usage level thus far, but I have no specific complaints or reasons for expecting shortcomings of any kind. It appears I have chosen a more than adequate replacement!
