terrible printer

i wouldn't recommend this printer to anyone. it stopped printing after six months. don't get one. it's not made well.

Cannot print in black and white without colour ink

I can't print in black and white while the Cyan ink cartridge is empty. Who designed this and why?! Scans ok, pages usually don't scan straight though, connects easily, never used the fax. Wifi set up was simple. I will be replacing this printer with another brand that does not need colour ink to print in black and white.

Constantly jamming

I cannot scan any multiple pages without theprinter saying it is jammed even though it is not. It will not accept card stock paper without jamming. Ink runs out quickly. When it works, it works fantastic but that's only 50% of the time.

Workforce 2540

We replaced an older Epson inkjet, which replaced an older HP inkjet. For about the same money, they keep getting better. The Workforce 2540 is the best I've seen yet for a personal printer. As a teacher, I print a lot of worksheet, etc. This printer is fast and relatively quiet. The ink is inexpensive and lasts reasonably well. we've had it for about nine months, used it a lot and it still prints great images and seems like new. Some controls could be more intuitive, but overall, I highly recommend this printer.

Good Product

We have just purchased my second Epson WF 2540 in two years and that may sound strange, but here is what happened. We used a WF 2540 "COMPATIBLE" ink cartridge set with the first unit, and it clogged up the works - just the 'black' actually but then that is what really is used the most. My spouse and I are both retired, and are both working with several Social Justice groups. We don't use the Epson as a "business' machine, but just our own prints and copies use a lot of ink and paper. The Epson handles that high volume well by the way, and the scanner feature is very handy. So when the older Epson WP 2540 just sorta "died' we replaced it with the same model. But this time we know to use the Epson ink cartridges. Epson? How's that for a review! And no - Epson didn't set us up to say all that - grin.

This printer eats ink even in BLACK WHITE ????to slow to scan always says its jammed after scanning. Will NOT PURCHASE EPSON again.

I have a very big problem. It won't connect to the scan. It will print from emails, but to scan it doesn't connect please help me solve my problems.
