Good, But anoying

The printer is a great product dont let the title fool you but the interface that the printer is run on is slugish and confusing

Good Printer

Quality printing. Makes good copies and scans. Have not had any issues with faxing either. Ink cartridges are very reasonable compared to other brand printers. I would buy another Epson Printer if and when I need a new one. I hope that won't be for many years!

Great all in one

I find the WF2540 to be a great all in one printer. It is easy to install and use. The printing is speedy and neat. No ink over run or blurring. The scanner function is easy to use and rapid. The copier like the other functions respond speedily and provides a good clear neat copy in both b&w and color.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horribly difficult

This product NEVER worked as advertised. My wife and I are well-educated professionals and I have experience managing a small business network. This device was the most difficult consumer device I've ever dealt with. The wireless connection was difficult to establish and required constant monitoring and troubleshooting. The printer never even balanced colors right, despite constant changing of the (expensive) ink cartridges. Will never go with Epson again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pros and Cons of the Epson WorkForce WF-2540 All-i

Hi. I was asked to review this machine. Overall, it is an okay machine. My major issue with it is lack of functionality when it runs low on or out of ink. If you have no black ink in the machine you won't be able to use the machine at all. I want to do scanning and copying on it. Not being able to copy with little or no black ink makes sense, but the scanning functionality of the machines should not be affected by lack of black ink. It's an okay machine to use for scanning and copying- it gets the job done. My other issue with the machine is not being able to easily ID what you scan to your PC. I have to take a few minutes to isolate the item I just scanned. I think the system should give you a chance to name what you are scanning. The machine I had before this one gave me that option. I like the fact that if you run out of black ink you can still print things using the other inks to approximate the color black. I can't say too much about the fax function-- I haven't used it since I had the machine.

Ink Refills

The printer works fine untill you use something other than Epson ink. After a short period of time, the printer stops printing after you replace the ink cartridge. The same ink I have used in my Canon printers for years without one bit of problems, will stop working in this Epson. I believe it is in the cartridge coding Epson has put into place to force you into into buying their much higher priced ink.
