Broke after two weeks

A contact in the chipboard came out while replacing the black ink cartridge. If they come out this easily I have no use for it!

It seems everytime i need to use it it needs ink never fails at 10pm when i need a copy quick, out off ink and i am the only one useing it I think it evaporates when not useing. this thing is going to be kicked down the drive way.

Run-of-the-mill set up and quality

Very inconvenient to require a USB connection on every PC that wants to share this printer on a wireless network for setup. First print job, a simple #10 envelope, left a black streak on the envelope. First impression of this printer is not a positive one.

print skewed and runs out of ink when idle

The paper feed pulls the paper in crooked no matter what paper you use or how much you adjust feed guides. This printer will run out of ink when it has not been used for a while. The ink levels where fine when I last printed and when I went to print two weeks later two color inks were out and would not me print in black and white ,which is all I print, until i replaced them.

I need to print in black and white... you can not print black and white when the color cartiridge is empty or near empty.. i dont want color... just need black and white. forces you to buy expensive color cartridges to get black and white.... slow machine and pulls copy paper crooked half the time

Worst Purchase Ever - Epson Never again!!!!

I didn’t read reviews before purchasing my Epson WF-2540 All-In-One Printer, what a mistake! Had I read the reviews and believed the Epson WF-2540 All-In-One Printer complaints could and would actually be true, from my experience of my limited ownership of said printer, I would have never purchased anything with the Epson name.
I have only used the printer a few times, I usually give up trying to get it to print, without producing about twenty blank pages, maybe this is why it goes through so much costly ink, which I don’t know where the ink is going, and go to my neighbors to use their (non-Epson) printers.
Funny, with my other printer (not an Epson), which I had for years - just had to have something newer, my neighbors were always asking me to print documents and photos for them!
I won’t even donate this Worthless F-2540 to the thrift store, I wouldn’t, want anyone to purchase this Epson item for anything let alone a dollar! Directly to the trash it will go!

The worst printer

This printer is the worst printer we have ever owned. We do not print much at home (maybe 5 documents every other week, no more than 3 pages) and we have to replace the ink at least once a month. We always print in black and white on grey-scale and have to consistently replace the black ink cartridge. There are constantly paper jams or errors. The scanner takes forever (even at lower resolutions) and also consistently gives errors or jams when scanning multiple pages. I've worked with printers on a large and small scale and had a small printer while in graduate college that I had used from Undergraduate. For this product to barely last 2 months without an error or some complication is abhorrent. I would not recommend this product to anyone, especially at its price.

Poor rating because

It's barely passable as a good printer on a minimal budget. You get what you pay for applies here. If I had to do it over I would have bit the bullet and bought a higher grade model. The WF-2540 runs through ink way too fast for me, and the ink is not cheap. It's also slow slow slow. I have to clean the heads frequently to avoid white out lines and missing dots. Worst is not being able to print in black because one or all color cartridges are low. So not fair to a poor person.
