Just bought and started using this printer...

I bought it due to good reviews and the color cartridges were not expensive.
It works wirelessly from our Mac laptop with ease and though I just use it for business purposes it is running perfectly for my needs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

wireless printer

I set up printer and successfully printed several items. The wireless function stopped working and everything I did to troubleshoot did not fix the problem. I had two other people attempt to rectify the problem and they were not able to.

Worst installation EVER

I am pretty well versed in computers and having to get new printers... the reason I got this printer was for the AirPrint option that my last wireless printer did not have.
I am RETURNING this piece!
It had the worst installation process I have EVER had to deal with!!! It NEVER would recognize the computer after I intstalled it (even with a USB cord... which OF COURSE was not included and had to be bought separately)!!
This day and age... there should be absolutely NO issues with installing a printer.
My last Wireless printer took 30min to install in 4 different computers (Mac and PC).... This piece took over 3.5hrs for just my PC and it STILL does not recognize it every time I want to print! What a waste of my life!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Painfully slow and time consuming

I bought this unit because of the nice price. That was the only thing nice about it. The installation of the printer with my MacBook Pro running 10.8 was horrible. I followed their directions to the letter and ended up having to uninstall everything and do it manually in reverse order of what was recommended. The first time I attempted to print from my iPad, the job took over three minutes to complete. The item being printed was only five sentences of text from the notes application. A day later, I sent my first fax. The unit took at least three minutes to scan four pages into memory before it could send the fax. I had a similar issue when trying to scan an item to my MacBook Pro.
If you have patience and the time to waste, it will probably work for you. It does have a habit of frequently making machine noises as if it's starting to print something when it is in idle or sleep mode. I'm not sure what that is all about. I'm going to be returning the printer and upgrading to something more appropriate.

Worst Home Printer Ever

I basically own a large paperweight. It is supposed to be a wireless printer, however, it of course will not pick up any networks. I got it to work once by placing the computer, printer and router all within inches of each other and that worked for about 2 minutes. It supposedly will work with a USB cable as well, which of course is not included with the printer. DO NOT purchase this printer for your home.

Awful printer/scanner

newprintershopper was totally correct on this one. I was under the impression that I could print in black and white without color cartridges. You cannot. You must have all 4 cartridges, even to print in grayscale. Yes, you can buy them separately but what good does that do me if I have to have all of them anyway?! It scans one page and saves even though there are more in the feeder. Even when you try to use the scanner it still doesn't work. And ink...expensive and I print 20 pages and one of the cartridges is out. It's so expensive. Every penny I spent on this was a waste of money. I will be emailing the company but I doubt I'll here anything back. I will get on every website that sells this and write the same review. I will not be purchasing anymore Epson products in the future.

Don't buy!! Waste of Money

I've had this printer for over a year and only printed successfully a handful of times. It worked great until I had to change out the black ink cartridge. Once I did that the ink wouldn't print on the paper. So back to the store I went and exchanged the ink thinking I had a bad one. But nope, same thing happened when I tried the second cartridge. Out of desperation I went and bought a third one hoping that I could get it to work but still no luck. I've tried trouble shooting and nothing works. Now I'm getting an error message that says the cartridge is not recognized. I am using the same exact type that came with the printer. I work from home and go to school so I really need a reliable printer...and this isn't it.

Scanning Documents problem

I can't get this thing to even scan a document. It tells me that this printer is not registered with cloud services.
The book tells me that I can scan documents to a file on my MacBook Pro. It doesn't even give me that option. It won't even start to scan due to the above message.
