Not a happy camper. It goes through ink like crazy. I only use it 2 or 3 times a month and nozzles constantly get clogged.I always have to clean nozzles so it prints right. So that makes it use more ink. I can't wait to get rid of it. I don't even have it for a year yet. Very disappointed. It's time to try a different brand..

I really like my wf2540 and recommended it to several of my friends, they have also been pleased. I've never had a problem with mine until I downloaded your recommended last upgrade, now I can't scan to my computer and my email scan won't print!!

To date, (2/25/13) I have not been able to install my new printer and I am disappointed. It looks like I will have to pay someone to come and try to install this printer.

The only paper tray is rear feed

This is not a problem, it's a complaint of sort. I ordered this product online, using this website to get all the details. I purchased this model because I thought it had it's own paper tray (not a rear feed, semi-vertical paper feeder). I thought this because under specifications/paper handling it says: "Input Paper Tray Capacity: 100 sheets plain paper, 10 envelopes." But if you look under other machines that do have their own paper trays, it lists the additional paper tray as "rear feed." Why isn't this one listed as "rear feed?" This is very misleading! They need to change the description to reflect the fact that this paper feeder is rear feed. I could return it and get a model that does have a separate paper tray but I can't afford the additional $50. But I am satisfied with the other features so I guess I will keep it. Just set it up last night so haven't done a whole lot yet. I might update the review in a few weeks.

Not able to give you what you want for I just barely recieved it, haven't tried it as of YET, not able to express myself at this point in time. Possibly later and this means in a month or two. You need to find a way to reduce the cost of ink on this model, it is WAY TO MUCH TO REPLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought my Epson WF-2540 almost 6 months ago. It seemed to set itself up and was very easy. After a month or so the printer would not print. Made noises and ran paper through but wouldn't print. Did all sorts of things and the printer suddenly began to print again. Now it is no longer printing. It printed one photo this afternoon and refuses to print any more. I have replaced all the ink to no avail. Now my computer cannot find the printer. Tried setting up the Wi-Fi but there is too much involved. Will have to call in an expert and spend several hundred dollars to get it up and running again. Can buy a new one for much less but it won't work either. How about a printer for non-experts?!

For you simple needs this is a nice product. If you are in a mobile living situation this is harder to control and modify. I use a windows 8.1 and I always get device issues. I have not owned new equipment until my house burnt down. I will keep plugging away at it. How often should updates happen for this item.
