Don't let good reviews fool you

We have only had this printer for about 2 months, and already the yellow nozzle will not print. I changed out 2 new yellow cartridges, and it still won't print out that color. I guess printers are supposed to be disposable nowadays. What a waste. I hate it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid Performance

I just purchased & installed Model WF-2540. Have not used it yet but I am highly confident that it will satisfy. My previous EPSON was a Model NX415 and it worked to near-perfection for years! Before that I owned EPSON Model CX5400 which satisfied until the end of its service life! I have no intention to "switch" to any other brand! Reliable, and with near-perfect print quality, every time. Kudos to its designers and manufacturers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had Issues

Just bought the 2540 for my iMac. Worked OK for about a week and then the printer would go into ink loading mode and would not print. When I got the printer to load again I received a low ink indicator on the Black Ink. What a bummer since the features were great for the price. Maybe this was just a bad machine. I am returning it tomorrow.
The ink cartridges are way undersized and will cause folks to gripe a lot. I would suggest that you pay a few more bucks and get he next step up Epson printer.

Great tool, easy setup

I installed on one wireless laptop easily.
Then again on my main wireless laptop. Software install was smooth. Then tested printing and scanning to drop box, wirelessly, and enjoyed. What surpised me is you can set up email address with epson which will print to the printer over internet.This means I can now print from all my tablets from anywhere. Amazing tool.

Poor performance

I bought this solely for the wifi capability and greatly regret the decision. The only way to print via wifi is to manually turn on the printer, open devices and printers in "my computer" and click on the printers icon (even though its the only one listed in my computer). Then print what you want (doesn't always work the first time). If you wait more than a couple minutes and try to print something else, you have to turn off the printer, wait for it to completely shut down and start the process over again. I will never consider an Epson product again.

My new Printer

I am very dissatified with my Epsen printer. When I click on print many times it takes hour for the print to start and other times absolutely nothing happens.

Epson workforce 2540

Not happy with printer at all. Had a NX series printer prior and was very happy with it but 2 greats later is normal for printer life. I hoped that buying a more expensive printer would mean even better quality. I was wrong! If I scan and print, it takes forever to get print and prints in photo paper mode only. No way to change this to normal paper or even draft mode. A REAL ink eater. Not happy and will not buy another
