Greatly cools your laptop

This unit is attractive, holds your laptop securely, and greatly cools it ! When your laptop idles it continues to run (so if you leave your laptop overnight in sleep mode would unplug this). A lifesaver to keep your system cool !! Glad I bought it !!

Ordered on line after seeing & using it at a relatives home. It is fantastic; just what the laptop needed. I no longer feel overheated using my laptop.

for general laptop use this chill mat works great. It is slightly bulky. Relatively quiet. My other chill mat came with extra usb ports which was awesome and dual fan speed. This one is just plugged in. Not recommended for gaming. For myself its not what I wanted, I use it with my old laptop now and my other chill mat on my new laptop because it works better when I'm gaming.

This mat took up to much space in my travel case, I got a more compact one for traveling and use this one at home.

Does not fit the HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 Quad

I bought the Targus Chill Mat Cooling Stand on impulse without checking it out first. I had just spent days checking and reviewing the new laptop I needed and I got lazy; I thought if HP is suggesting it, it should be good. It is ok. The one HP suggested does not really fit the HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 Quad Edition laptop. The feet don’t lineup with the stops. I was able to add sticky back bumpers to the bottom of the laptop to stop it sliding off the stand. The power connecter sticks out a bit far for my liking. Fan is very quiet and seems to work well. I’ve only had it for a couple of week… we’ll see how long it lasts.

I would highly recommend this chill mat, it's quiet, very efficient and great value.I like the fact that it shuts off once you close the lid and it's angle does give you a better view of the key board making it easier to see what you type.
