I love this phone, i have owned all the Galaxy platforms from the original Captivate, the Skyrocket and now this S3. It is amazing!
I do wish that the wallpaper setting for larger pictures could be used like that of the S2 Skyrocket. I liked how each home page had its own part of the wallpaper...

I have always been a die hard Samsung fan even since my first Samsung Android phone, the SGS Captivate. I also owned the SGS II Skyrocket as well. The Galaxy S III is a culmination of all the GREAT things about those prior devices and MORE! It is easily my FAVORITE smartphone thus far. The interface zips around at instant speeds and the performance and style are truly awe inspiring. I LOVE MY SGS III!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, lag free snappy os!, improved touchwiz ux, variety of great accessories!

I've had this phone for approximately 24 hours and I. am. in love. I have never had a phone that was this fast, had this many features, had such an amazing screen, had this user-friendly of a virtual keyboard, etc. etc. etc. I am impressed with this one for sure! I will definitely keep this phone until it goes off to the big cell phone farm. Thank You Samsung!

Got this 3 days ago. It replaced an Infuse. My phone before that was a captivate. Samsung RULES !!!! Everything about this phone is the best yet. Boot and shutdown times are 1/4 of my infuse. I have gotten speed tests of 50+mps on LTE. A bit faster on wifi. Bluetooth is 5 times faster connecting to my devices. Phone dials much faster (time between I press send and get a ring) I got 26 hours yesterday on one charge with light useage. Today I was using it constantly and have 12.2 hours and still have 17% battery left!!!!! This is 4 times what I got on my Infuse battery and Now have LTE !!!!!
Love the ICS. Many new features. I don't have to root this phone. Love the task switcher/killer.
Nothing bad to report, so far.

This is my second Samsung Galaxy phone and thus far all I can say is that this one is UNBELIEVABLE!...Such attention to detail at every level along with an exquisite tactile experience. I absolutely recommend this phone.

New Captiva Galaxy S III

I have only had it a few hours but have downloaded my apps (I had the first Captiva version) and downloaded my contacts, etc. I am charging the phone and it seems to get a bit hot near the charger port. Overall, I really like it.

Simply put, this is the best phone that I've ever used. I have used iOS devices as well as Android-powered dual-core phones but this takes the cake. I have yet to find a real flaw in the product and I've been using it extensively.
The only thing that I'll point out is that it would be great if the battery life was better but at the same time that's like owning a sports car and wishing it got better fuel economy, so it's not really an issue for me. I have tweaked the power settings, display brightness, etc. all to usable settings but just throttled down a little bit and I can get through a full day/day and a half with heavy use.
I love how the built-in task manager (hold down the physical button on the bottom center of the phone) seems to close out unused apps intelligently. With my previous phones, which could have been due to the Froyo and Gingerbread OS's, I would living in my 3rd party task manager because the running apps would get out of control. But with Ice Cream Sandwich and/or the Galaxy S3, I rarely see more than a few apps running in the task manager when I go in there even though I've been in numerous apps recently only the very most recent ones will appear which is great.
Performance is great and I could go on and on about the phone but the best way to appreciate it is to pick one up for yourself. Even if it's just to test it for a few minutes at a local wireless provider or borrow your friend's for a bit, you'll see what I'm talking about. And the bloatware is very minimal too unlike some of the competitors. No need to create a Samsung account in order to use the phone (again, unlike some of the competitors), but I'll point out that I did create one and I like how I can register my phone and then track any repairs, etc. right on the Samsung website very easily. But anyways, pick one up! One of the best decisions I've made.
