I'm coming from the iPhone family since the 1st generation until the 5. I decided to give this phone a try an fell in love. although it lags or some apps closes from time to time i love this phone. for the most part its very fast. Big vibrant screen an pretty light in weight. Although it couldn't handle my 11403 texts messages from my iMessage i transferred over I am very satisfied with this phone and would recommend it to others. I would like to see on the s4 a better build not with the plastic back that most of the products are made out of unless the price is going to go down on it.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: battery dies fast

Upgraded from a Blackberry and it was the best decision ever. Everything is enhanced 100%. Wow! Very satisfied

THE BEST PHONE

This is by far the best phone I have ever had. I have had all the Samsung models except the Note and Note 2. I have had motoral, LG and no phone even compares to this. The apps, features and all are top of the line.
Apple has no chance against this phone either. I def would never even try to compare to an Apple since they can not do near as much.
I recommend this phone to my family and friends all the time. It is very user friendly and you can set it up exactly how you want and display how you want. Worth buying!!!!

Amazing phone...wish it came without bloatware

While I understand phone manufacturers' desire to have people try their proprietary software, the inability to uninstall is rather bothersome (to put it politely). I'm forced to tote around copies of applications that I never, nor will I ever, use.
Why not preinstall software while allowing for uninstallation? Provide folks the opportunity to use your applications while not mandating that they keep it on their phone. Seems like a good compromise to me.

Loyal Iphone follower (14 yr old daughter) converted to Galaxy III

My 14 year daughter who while we were with Sprint could not wait until I would move to ATT; did so about a year ago so she and the rest of my family could get Iphones. Now after a year; my daughter who was given opportunity to use upgrade to get an Iphone 5 told me over a month ago that she wanted the Galaxy III which she believed now was the better phone. Boy that was a surprise; my other daughter wants to change to but will wait so that at least the 14 year can be the only one with the Galaxy III for a while (I upgraded from Skyrocket II to the Note 2 - what a great phone).
Asked my daughter yesterday if she wants to go back; no the commercial that Samsung has is right on; the iphone is old technology; the Galaxy III is what her friends want now; still can not believe that I was hearing that after all the IPhone talk... still can not admit dad was right though.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, great for videos, great for texting, great for facebook; much larger than iphone, great camera, swapple battery
Cons: battery life similar to iphone, no other con's
