nice scann but limited paper options & costly ink

I have used a number of color printers over the years, and purchased these because of the large scan bed. Nonetheless, one of the main uses of color printers for many folks is the ability to print cards - this printer has no manual feed tray, and will not print on card stock - the stock runs right through the printer without printing: there is no "Thick-Paper" paper setting as the manual says there is! It will also not print of very fine/thin paper. I wish I had done further research, because if I had realized this I would not have opted for this higher end printer. I've also gotten color bands across a number of my prints, and it uses costly ink [small cartridges] amazingly fast, so it is very disappointing to get a print you have top throw out. I've had the printer for 3 days and have printed under 100 sheets, only 3 full color, and the ink is already 1/3 gone]. Weigh your options before buying!

Very easy set up with MAC OS X Lion
on May 13, 2012

I create scrapbooks and embellishments on a daily basis. I needed a wide format printer with great ink mileage and I picked this printer.
I own a MAC running Lion and the setup was easy. My husband says that I'm far from a computer expert so if I can do it : ) I followed the directions to the letter and it all worked. I did not even attach the USB cable to setup the wireless.
When running the driver program downloaded from the Epson website I got an error at 31%, I ran it again and this time there was no error.
This printer is not created to print on card stock, there is not even an option for card stock but I'm printing on 65LBS card stock and the prints are beautiful. Absolutely fabulous colors, just wonderful.
I do not know about the ink usage but I'm very happy with the printer.
The most difficult thing about the setup was to get it out of the box, it's heavy and HUGE!

Easy Setup, Nice Prints!
on April 24, 2012

First impressions: this printer is BIG.
Really big. Bigger than I expected.
Sure, I read that it is a printer for `large format' documents, but I must admit that I didn't read the dimensions in the description. The picture looks like a normal-sized, little wireless printer, right?
Wrong. Huge printer.
Roughly 35 pounds and 22x16x10 - and that's without the paper trays or menu pad extended!
I don't really have a problem with the size, but just be sure you'll have the space to put this monster!
And lest you think `monster' implies something negative - oh no! Aside from its pleasantly plump appearance, the Epson Workforce 7510 is a fantastic printer for home or a small business!
Setup was much easier than I was anticipating. As my first wireless printer, I was nervous that I'd run into all kinds of glitches. I needn't have worried. Even without a USB cable (which is recommended for a first-time setup), Epson quickly recognized my wireless network and installing the printer was a breeze on my Dell laptop with Windows XP. Total time from unpacking to installation to printed test page (all with the help of my 4 year old) took just under a half hour for me.
So how does it print? Really nice. I printed off a large borderless photo of my husband and kiddos in camo and was super impressed with the print quality! I see an end to uploading and ordering prints elsewhere! Time to buy some frames!
Copies were just as great, too. I love having the automatic feeder at the top to make copies of multiple pages fast and easy!!
My scanned images were crisp and bright, although it took me awhile to find the finished jpg/pdf in my documents folder on my computer. I'm going to see if there's an option to change the `save to' destination.
I thought I should mention that although the bulky size makes the overall printer feel sturdy, the paper rester thing seemed a bit flimsy. Each time I extend it, it seems wobbly and I feel like it might break when trying to lock it into place. Same with the paper tray. A bit clunky trying to remove and replace.
Oh, and the beeping that occurs every time you push a menu button quickly became annoying. That's probably why the directions to turn it off are right on page 3 of the guide. I quickly shut the noise off!
Getting familiar with all of the menu buttons and many options this printer offers will take some time, but so far, this Epson has performed each task I tested above my expectations.
As a homeschooling mom, a good printer is very important to our family. Worksheets and projects are constantly needed, and this Epson will handle our workload with ease!
Overall, a solid 4.5 stars!

Great Scanner, good printer
on March 18, 2013

I wrote a review some time back on how great the scanner was, but that I hadn't tried printing.
The scanner is STILL great, and worth the price and more. In the past few months I've had to scan numerous bank documents and found the top-loading tray for scanning - which I never thought I'd use - a WONDERFUL feature!
I recently tried some printing. The pros - FAST! I accidentally sent a job to my old print (the default on my computer) and then reassigned it to my Epson. My Epson 7510 finished printing the document and several more before my old printer had even warmed up.
The con - In its desire to print quickly it misloads paper. So pages have their top margins cut off, and SEVERAL blank pages were churned out with a three page document. Not really a big deal for what I was printing, but if you're going to print something that you need to be PERFECT, do it one page at a time, and double check its printed correctly.
STILL - I am super-happy with this purchase, to the extent I post about it on Facebook every few weeks haha. It's made my life easier

Can't Gve it 100%

Waited on sending this review to get more use out of the 7510. I’m not using it as a work horse, just casual printing, and photos. The trouble I see is that the paper feed is not seamless. I like the results, but the biggest issue so far is the paper feed. You cannot have regular paper in the unit and just add say a single gloss sheet to print a quick picture; the unit pulls in the regular paper with it.
It seems you must put one glossy in at a time.
I have an old cx6000 that never jammed and never had a feed issue. I do like the printer, just wished
That the feeder was trouble free. Always removing the paper tray is annoying.

I have been looking for this all in one for years

I draw comics on 11x17" paper. I've had numerous scanners and they all required multiple scans and stitching for one page. Larger scanners were too expensive.
When I saw this all in one in the store, for this price, I thought it was too good to be true. I bought it, expecting the scan quality to be terrible, and I'd have to return it.
I was AMAZED. I have never loved a piece of equipment so much before. It has cut the time I need to get a "finished" scan of my work by 75% - which means more time for me to actually be creative!
I have never tried an Epson product before this one. I will definitely keep them in mind in the future.
(I have not tried printing yet, but the scanning quality alone was worth the price....I am excited to see what the printing looks like)

Awesome printer

I love this printer. It can print, scan and copy easily. I love the fact that it can print 13"x19". The only thing I wish I could get is an extra paper tray so I don't have to keep changing out the 8.5"x11" paper to 13"x19" paper. I should have bought the WF-7520. It has 2 paper trays.

I bought the printer to have several needs met.
As a photographer I can not recommend anyone using this printer to produce quality photographs.
I get lines in segments throughout. I just ran the first three 8 1/2 x 11 test prints (5x7image) on quality photo paper and will waste no more photo paper trying to get a good print. Don't believe this printer is capable.
As far as the written word it is giving me satisfactory results.
I have as of yet not scanned any art material so I can't comment on that aspect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
