Purchased primarily for my scrapbooking/multi-media art work. The large scan and print capabilities caught my attention immediately. Easy to set up and operate. Light weight considering its size. Love all the ease of manipulating settings. With that said wish it had a little more detailed settings for types of paper, color settings. Wish it actually scanned a full 12" for my scrapbook paper designs. All in all a good buy!

Quality printer for photos, but a few sugestions

I have three printers: Brother, HP Photosmart, and Epson. All of them can print large format photos and Epson is the best among them. But I have some issues I have not resolved for my Epson: unable to wirelessly print PDF documents, unable to wirelessly scan documents or photos, no direct paper size like 11x17 inches, 13x17 inches in the printing process.

This is the best printer I have ever owned. The colors are true and vibrant. I especially like the large sizes it can print. This is very helpful, when you are an artist. I love everything about this printer. I have never had one problem with it. From here on out, if it ever becomes unfixable, I will buy another Epson. No one can sway me otherwise. I highly recommend this printer to everyone who wants a very good and dependable printer.

not the best for images

I am currently a design student and purchased this printed to help me print good quality images. I have to say I am disappointed. I can see the grains of color on the paper and that is not a print quality i am looking for. I am going to try printing with a few different print settings and if it doesn't work. I am going to return it. I was very excited to find a machine that will print and scan and copy on large paper. I guess its to much to ask for.

I like this WIDE format printer except for one problem. I have many slides and negatives, but this printer cannot scan them because it was not designed for this (I did not realize this at the time of purchase). Fortunately for me I have an older Epson Perfection 2400 scanner on which to scan my slides. If you need this feature in a printer, then look elsewhere. There should be a 'maybe' place to check for any recommendation. Otherwise, so far, I am satisfied. I have not yet tried to scan any photographs from which I can print large 13x19 prints. We will see.

We were looking to replace our epson photo printer and chose this model over the 3000 series.
We took the word of the sales person who said the new technology would more than compensate for the lack of colors. That was mistake one, listening to the sales guy / store manager. Mistake two was thinking technology could overcome the lack of extra color cartridges. Mistake three was thinking this printer was in the same class as the 3000's series.
The colors are very muted and not sharp and clear, the printing is fast as advertised but lack brightness and eye appeal.
All in all extremely disappointed in West Allis, WI.

I was scanning a 11x17 document in color in 300 dpi, and it took WF 7510 TWELVE MINUTES to complete scanning----wasting me so much time. I usually prefer to scan images in 300 dpi, and the fact that WF7510 need to take more than 10 minutes to accomplish this job is a huge disappointment for me. In addition I did not find its printing speed particularly faster than other printers i've experienced.
