Just Buy It!!

I finally decided to step up and move up from my point and shoot to a DSLR camera. I have a pas canon and was pleased with the results but I knew I couldn't get the images I wanted without a higher end camera. I stuck with Canon and I'm glad I did. This T3i is just incredible for the price and the features it offers. I knew nothing about cameras and also had no Idea what a F-stop was but am excited and learning quickly. I've taken pictures that I never knew I could take until owning a quality camera like this.

Great Camera!

I had wanted this camera for about 2 years before I actually made the decision to purchase it. And I am so happy I did! I did a lot of research before I bought it, this being my first DSLR. I decided this was the correct decision for my level of expertise and what I wanted to shoot. The controls are very easy to understand but still have enough complexity to make it different than your basic point and shoot digital camera. This camera is an amazing learning tool and perfect for many levels of photographers.
Pros: good battery life, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Absolutely phenomenal!

Again! Canon has another winner! I've been using the T3i for about 7 months now and I can proudly say that the impressive photo quality and performance from this camera was truly blown me away! Last year I used the Full HD function at a family gathering and shot about an hour of footage, pulled it into Premiere pro, and exported a truly aweing presentation. You just can't beat this camera in the image quality aspect with a price package like this!
Canon has done an excellent job on the sensor's low light performance at the price your paying for. I've shot in low to medium lit museums at iso 1600 and I still was able to pull out sharp, detailed photos of my subjects with minimal noise in the shadows. The potential of the T3i's raw capture increases when combined with Lightroom's powerful sharpening and noise reduction tools. I love using flash at receptions and for some reason the color when using flash looks much better than using cameras of an opposing brand. The pictures ''pop'' more and are more vibrant.
The T3i works best with a grip because it not only improves battery life but also handling, which is a little difficult with small Rebel series models. If the grip is beyond your budget, at least try and get another battery pack as the battery in Rebel series is less powerful than a pro dslr(ex. 60D, 7D). Make sure you invest in good glass to pair with this camera because this is where the price advantage of the rebel plays the most.
In the final analysis, like Canon said, there is no compromise with this camera. Fast autofocus, great flip LCD, very portable, and fun to use. The EOS T3i has really got me hooked on Canon brand and so far it lives up to my expectations. If Canon is consistently enabling me to get that great shot, I'll be purchasing something like an EOS 7D Mark 2(when it comes out) in the future.
I was impressed, and so will you! Happy shooting!
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Missing features/settings, noisy

Excellent DSLR!

This was (is) my first DSLR and I absolutely love it. Sure, a 7D would be nice; but for someone who doesn't want to spend 1.5k+ on a camera, this is a wonderful alternative. It's worked very well for me, and I don't think I've had one "glitch" or technical issue with it thus far. My only problem with this body is the sound the shutter makes--I really get annoyed by that squeaky sound (as opposed to a simple "click") and I often find myself self-conscious and paranoid that others will get annoyed by it as well. This is a very minor issue, however--and if that's the only problem I have with it, I'd say that's pretty awesome. I've had this camera for about a year now and haven't noticed it being any different from when I first purchased it (and I've used it almost daily). It's lasted me this long and I expect that it will last me at least a few more years--and if it does, I'll gladly stick with it until I run across an issue. I honestly love this camera.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: noisy

T3i can be a Pro camera

Had this camera for about 3 years. My only complaints are the very slow auto-focus speed, poor performance in extreme low lighting situations, and overall slow camera processing speed that this T3i can't handle. In time, you learn to work around the camera's faults. The logic 4 chip is the root cause. Note that photography is 70 percent lens and 30 percent camera body. This camera was not built for speed or for extreme low lighting situations; however, the T3i camera can hold its own and it can take super-sharp images in relatively moderate to low lighting conditions compared to the 6D or 5D Mark III. I don't like the feel of the 6D or the 5D. Note that the T3i costs thousands less than the 6D or the 5D. The T3i is a "creative" picture taking camera only.
Pros: Superior build quality, Super-sharp images
Cons: Slow auto-focus, slow overall speed, extreme noise at 800 iso

Have owned this camera for 4 years now. It has proven to be a versatile and very usable camera. Fast focusing and a fairly accurate metering system. It impressed me from day one. Light weght and comfortable to hold. I own other canons to include the 6D and 70D, but I still find myself gra bing this one for a days shooting simply because I am so used to it. It has never let me down.

Best Entry Level Camera

The Canon T3i for me is the best camera for DSLR beginners. The articulated screen is so convenient especially in hard angled views. the kit lens that comes with it will be a good practice lens. I am using this camera for low light shooting and astrophotography and am really happy with the results. I'm sure this camera would last long when properly cared and maintained.

A Real Bargain!

I got this camera for my personal use and to fill in occasionally for work. I've only had it a couple of months but already it's been put through a variety of situations including shooting sports (baseball), wildlife and landscapes, fireworks, macro work, surf and sand, rainstorms, candlelight and even night scenes (hand-held lunar photos among them). This camera has performed like a trooper and has far surpassed my expectations.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
