I have been using my T3 since October 2011. I got it as a long awaited gift to myself. I have been wanting a DSLR to get serious with developing my skills in photography and researched the best entry level rig possiible. This is it!!! I am so grateful for this tool. It has everything you need to develop a good foundation for your development. I love the price. The return on investment has been 10 fold. I am developing fast and already saving up for a telephoto for action stories I want to tell. Thanks so much for a great product. Canon rocks!
Pros: return on investment

Very Nice Purhase

I think its important for some adults or teens getting into photography that this review is coming from a 17 year old. I got this camera for my 17th birthday and I am in heaven. For a year previous, I had the Canon Rebel XS, and this is a huge step up. 18 megapixels and 6400 ISO should put your limits at least to the sky. I am not terribly impressed at the build quality, but I took this for a month straight across the Chugach Mountains in Alaska and it lasted perfectly. I love this camera and I'm so glad I began with it.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, great for beginners
Cons: noisy

Highly recommend this camera. No matter if you are starting out or a pro. This camera is easy to use. Has a little of everything from the 6d and 7d to the T2i and then it has it's own added touches. Go ahead and buy it you will love it.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Big bang for the buck!

I love this camera! At my previous job, I was using the 5d mk 2 and the 7D with tons of L-Series lenses. When you bolt these same lenses on this camera, you get the same HD footage out of it. The only thing I wish was different is the way you manually white balance for HD recording. Not easy like the 7D.
Pros: quiet, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: white balance in hd video is hard to figure out

Couldn't be Happier

I have had my T3i for a year now. It has yet to fail me. I recently purchased a 70-300 is usm lens. I took the camera to the Nashville Predators hockey game a few weeks ago with my new lens. Did not use the flash, handheld and the photos are stunning. Even when shown on a 50" plasma they are incredible. I very seldom use the lcd except to review photos so my battery life is superb. I have friends that are amazed at the quality. I gave a black and white photo enlarged to 30"x40" of an old barn to a friend of mine and he was amazed there was no pixilation. Truly amazing tool when you take the time to learn all of its features.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Solid Operation, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!
