The Right Camera for the next level
on November 2, 2011

The T3i is light & easy to carry so I will not hesitate to grab it and go. Although sophisticated in functionality it is simple to operate. The difference for me was in the location and operation of the controls. Everything was perfectly placed as if a real photographer designed the layout. A camera designed by and for photographers! The variable LCD is a big plus. If you are moving from amateur to enthusiast this is the right one.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this camera in June and i have loved it from the very start. Easy to use and the features are great. If you are an amateur photographer you will love this camera, good price with the package deal. The photo quality is great with 18 megapixles to boot, rivals alot of high dollar cameras. Lots of accessories for the camera too, which is a plus
Pros: easy to use, great features, quality photos
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent entry level DSLR

The EOS Rebel T3i 18-55mm IS II Kit is my first DSLR. I am very happy with this camera. I feel it is very easy to use. Quite durable too, thankfully, as I am somewhat of a clutz. I have taken over 4000 photo's with this camera in the 6 months I have owned it. In my opinion, this camera is an excellent entry level DSLR for the price.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, easy to use
Cons: Heavy/Bulky

Very nice camera. Great deal. Refurbish feel like never been used before. Why pay $300 more for a new camera? This deal is no brainer
Pros: Superior build quality, Super-sharp images
Cons: Semi-sharp images

A super camera for the money!!!

Well, I am one of those hack photographers who has used a Canon original 300D 6041 for ten years. This T3i camera is such a pleasure to live with!! If you are on the fence about upgrading just do it. I know you have read all the reviews and have studied the specs so I won't bore you with my modest take. I play music for a living and my usage is taking photos for selling vintage music instruments in a "corner of the room" studio. The swivel view-finder is worth the price of admission!! If it were just not so much plastic... the review forces me to say "poor build quality". It is not poor build quality. It is a function of the price point. This camera is a wonderful value and one day I will order a 5D MKIII if they ever ship it! Thanks Canon for the great lenses too!!
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Poor build quality

I am glad that I bought this camera

I had an opportunity to use major features of Rebel T3i during my wife's dance performance recently. Although I wanted to take both pictures and record video, I ended up recording video during the entire performance. Photos are excellent with brilliant colors. I even had a little photo contest with my friend and his point-and-shoot. The difference is very clear between SLR and point-and-shoot camera. Especially when you zoom into the subject.
Only negative I have to say is regarding video recording. During the recording the zoom operation is not very easy. Capturing still during recording will cause 2 second puase. I am still learning to use this camera, I might get better at recording video in future.
I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone who is new to SLR.
Pros: quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu
Cons: Short battery life
