Fastest Camera

My wife and I bought and returned 3-4 cameras from best buy in a span of 12 months. Are 2.5 year old girl does not sit still and my wife could not find a camera fast enough to capture her cute images until we bought the T3i. Excellent quality images, super fast, battery life not bad. We have had it for 5 months, could not be more happy. On live mode it is not fast at all. So if you want a super fast camera, this is it.

Best value in the world

I've only had my T3i for about 2 weeks, but I still absolutely love it.
I've been shooting with Canon for over a year now and I loved their Rebel XTi, but it was just becoming more and more outdated. So I finally decided to upgrade to the T3i.
I love the live view mode with the articulating screen. It's really awesome. It let's you capture some of the most creative shots imaginable!
When you throw in FULL HD video on top of all these features, you get heaven. Or what Canon likes to call, the EOS 600D.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: memory used quicker

A good, high-value DSLR
on April 6, 2012

I purchased the T3i with kit lens as my first DSLR after using film cameras for the past 20 years (35mm, MF & LF). I still love my film cameras but the DSLR was a necessity for a trip where film would just be in the way. A trip to the South Pole. The T3i performed just fine at temperatures down to -60F with an average temperature of -20F. Just some dimming and slowing of the LCD screen.

GREAT CAMERA

I upgraded from my first DSLR, Canon T3. You may think they are the same cameras but they are more different than you know. Better sensor and more megapixels. better build, better SD card placement, better LCD and screen that can tilt and not to mention that the image quality is better. As far as the movie mode I can't speak on this cause its not a camcorder in my eyes not that it can't do it, Just that i didn't buy this to take movies. But would recommend this to anyone looking for a solid DSLR and know that this product will out last the period you will own it.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation

I am a camera novice and was expecting to buy another brand but when the sales person showed me the T3i for just a little more, I am very impressed with the difference.
I am still learning how to use it as I have always been a point and shoot type of guy but this camera and what it will do rocks for sure.
Pros: quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu

Not So Good
on November 27, 2012

This is my 3rd EOS.
The automatic focus has to search way too long.
The 18-55 Is Lens is made cheaply, and is slow in focusing.
The weight is fine, the features are limited, bottom line both lenses included in the package are pedestrian at best.
Image quality is good, but focusing lag is annoying.
Pros: good battery life, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, easy to use
Cons: Missing features/settings, very slow automatic focusing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
