Loud Pop after taking a few pictures.

Had it about 2 months.
My wife was taking pictures of the dog and the camera made a really loud pop sound. It was loud enough to make her screech and set the camera down. I powered it down for 10 minutes and took the battery out. I powered it back on and the camera and the flash.
It sounds very similar to a blown capacitor in a computer.
I wasn't able to find any troubleshooting tips on the cannon website.
Any suggestions?
Pros: solid, clear pictures
Cons: pop, loud

Difficult to use

I've had a Rebel T3i for about a year. It will not take a picture that is any further then 30-49 feet. Beyond that, the image is tiny and not magnified. I have tried every trick I know. Changing lenses is useless. The 5x & 10x enhances the image only on the display screen. The actual picture is terrible and not at all enlarged.

Much improved high ISO from my xti model and the jump from 10 to 18 mega pixels gives me so much more room for cropping.
Not so excited about the live view except for using it when Manually focusing With 5x or 10x what you see is what you get!

amazin dslr! but spend the money on the 60d

This dslr is amazing ! the build quility is good the pictures are great, but honestly id wish i would of saved the extra cash and got the 60d it has better build quality but its cool i love my rebel t3i! definitly reccomend to buy for anyone wanting good pictures that people will love!
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Missing features/settings, Poor build quality

Love My Camera!!!

I have always wanted a rebel and did alot of research & purchased the T3i kit w/ 55-250 lense and LOVE it! The pictures are excellent and there r so many feaures on this camera and having fun learning them all...would recommend this to anyone!

The 18-135mm lens shows some color fringing & slips.

Good for pictures, bad for video

Overall, this is an excellent camera. It has a wide range of features and produces excellent images. I feel that this is a camera that can grow with me as my skill improves.

for the price you can not beat this camera. it will make you feel like a pro. i use it to take a lot of sports shots . and i am very satisfied with cannon.
