Great camera, unacceptable sound

Bought this camera primarily for shooting video and at that it excels. Great flexibility, great range of lenses means you'll always be able to adapt your gear to the conditions.
I'd alway prefer to record audio with the video in camera but that's impossible with this camera. The sound has far to much hiss at all but the lowest gain settings, so be prepared to record audio separately and then mix in your editing app. Too bad, everything else about the camera is first rate, but I wouldn't buy this camera again knowing what I know now.
Doubly unfortunate, since I have a Canon Vixia camcorder that was much cheaper than the T3i but has superior sound, and includes a headphone port which the T3i doesn't (most DSLRs don't have this either).

Cons: noisy, sound recording unacceptable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hard to take a bad photo

I love my camera, I have dreamed of getting out of the point and shoot way and having a real camera again. My t3i is what I dreamed of. Photos are high quality, vibrant color and clear. Lens system keeps me in control of the photo composition. I print just what I shot, with little work at the kiosk. Buy one!!

Great Camera!

I love the Rebel T3i! It's easy to use, and it consisentently takes wonderful photos. It's main purpose in our family is taking photos of our grandkids, and the action shots of their sporting events are unbelievably clear - no shakiness or blurred shots with the stabilizer lens. I'd recommend this camera to anyone.

Easy to use takes great pictures,good value for your money have recommeded it to several people. The buttons are easy to understand and it wasn't long before I could operate them without looking and in the dark. The kit lens is of above average glass and it can be used for a large rande of pictures, even though it is just 18-55mm,glad I bought it.

Good for teaching ...

I love this camera since is easy to understand, easy to use and the settings are more easy to teach, my students love this camera, also I used as secondary camera to shoot long range pictures at soccer games at concerts and church service. Great camera because I deserved

Awesome camera

I have used other brand camera and was very happy with my shot BUT when I go the T3I, WOW my pictures turned out awesome. I have only have this camera for about 5 months now and have been shoothing weddings and some please have told me that whatever has changed from before, keep it up. What has changes is now I am shooting with the Canon T3i. No matter what you level, you will love this camers.

Amazing.....

I was affair to purchase this camera, because I'm not an experienced person when it comes to cameras. All my other ones were cheaper, and easier to figure how to use. I took the leap and bought this one. I have a lot to still learn, but I am enjoying the process.
