For me, this was an entry level purchase. For starting out in full auto mode and working my way up to full manual mode, this has proven to be the perfect camera. It takes great pictures in auto and has a lot of features. I can't think of a better camera for learning with. I've had it over a year now and haven't had a single problem with it.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

For a first time photographer it was easy to learn how to operate . You wouldn't believe some of the photos I've taken you would think that professional took the shots . I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another Canon in the near future .

Excellent Beginners Camera

I bought this camera almost one year ago, and I must say that it was an excellent purchase, the quality it's very good, even that it is a beginner camera, you can obtain pictures like a pro. Video it's outstanding, with full HD and sound level control... If you are a beginner, buy this camera, you're not gonna regret it!.

First DSLR

My T3i is the first DSLR I have owned. Although I've owned it for less than six months, I've used it to to photograph a large conference and smaller veteran's reunion. The camera produced exceptional photos. When it failed to do so, the cause was invariably due to operator error. I have no complaints. Overall, the camera has exceeded my expectations.

Cons: Slow Start-up time

Excellent Choice

I bought my Canon T3i with the 18-135mm lens after reviewing many other cameras. I have now used it about 14 months and I am very pleased with the quality of both the camera and the photos. I have found the controls very easy to find and use, and really like the zoom range of the lens. My pictures come out with excellent color and crystal clear quality. This camera is my first venture in the world of DSLR's and I have been thrilled with the whole experience...even winning in my photo club competitions. :-)

awsome camera

Bought for a trip to England. Took 1400 photos in 10 days, really got to know the camer and loved it from the start. Loved exploring all the new features. Used it for the Solar eclipse and Venus transit and was very inpressed with the adaptability of the camera to do such varied functions. I can't imagine a better or more versatile camera. Love it. My only complaint and a minor one is the telephoto lens slides to max telephoto when camera is carried over shoulder with lens facing down. A minor complaint.
