Great way to start in sophisticated DSLR photos
on October 9, 2012

I have had my T3i with 18-135 lens for over a year and have shot landscapes, night scenes, portraits and travel. That is over 9,000 clicks of the shutter. It is a great camera to start the DSLR experience with. My photos have been sharp enough and colorful enough to be judged into local juried exhibitions and even have some of the photos sold. And, yes I would like to upgrade to full frame some day and it will be with a Canon.
Pros: good battery life, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, price for what you get, articulating screen is a real plus
Cons: Missing features/settings, noisy, flash and hdr type settings difficult

My newest camera

The Canon T3i has renewed my excitement about photography. The camera is a joy to use, with controls that are easy to reach and sensible in their placement. The images are top notch in quality, and the camera has enough resolution to make mild cropping a useful option in post. The range of accessories is extensive, and Canon's stable of lenses is extensive and top shelf quality. I have had no problems creating sharp and beautiful images with the kit 18-55 lens, and it's pretty much the lightest lens I've ever used. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and have since picked up both a 55-250 zoom and the 50mm 1.4 lens which is the best 50mm I've ever owned as well.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use

I have had this camera for about a year now and absolutely LOVE it. It takes great pictures and is easy to use. This was my first DSLR camera and I was taking great pictures right from the start. I even won first place in a juried art show for photography with a picture taken from this camera. I can not say enough good things about this camera. My friends and family are always amazed by the pictures. I even had some orders for photo books that I have taken. It's just an all around great camera- Thanks to Canon!
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Exelent Camera

I purchased this camera for an art class at my school. I was very happy with my purchase. I am an amateur photographer at the moment but am using this camera to build up my skill level. The only thing that I don't like is the slower shutter speed. Other than that, this thing is perfect. I get great angels with the view screen and the pictures always come out clean and crisp.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, easy to use
Cons: slower shutter speed than i need

My T3i has introduced a whole new world of not just 'taking pictures' but recording memories. It can be as simple as just a click and at the same time let you be as creative as you wish. All you have to do is turn the knob and either let it happen or make it happen.
Pros: Nice features/settings, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Short battery life
