I am really delighted with the quality and beauty of this Ultrabook, performance has is incredible, considering it is such a slim ultrabook and light, just an excellent device for me, I am a student of mechatronics engineering and the size of the device allows me to carry it with me every day and it has a respectable battery autonomy.
I'm impressed. This little beast has all the power and features that I could possibly ask for.
Samsung did a solid with the design:
• Super lightweight • Incredible graphics employing the embedded Intel HD Graphics • Touch screen • Super quiet • Impressive battery life • Ample solid state storage • 8GB RAM • No bloated pre-installed application bundle.
In essence: All the features I need and none of the junk I don't need. I was up and running, with all the custom settings I prefer, in under an hour.
I've only had one issue, Applications using a fixed-pixel installation window with a scaled font don't work with the default display settings. To be able to see and read the entire installation dialog it's necessary to reduce the resolution to 1024 x 768 AND lower the text size magnification from 250% to 100% in the Display Properties. Samsung support is aware of this issue.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Came well equipped and at a great price
The solid state drive lets it boot up very quick.
The loaded software is a great start.
Can access different wifi bands. Using a higher band helps when in an area with a lot of internet traffic. Bought a Thune case to fit it. It is very thin and light even in the case.
I would not hesitate to buy again or recommend to a friend.
To start off, I have had this computer for about a year now and overall it has satisfied my needs for work related items (spreadsheets, word docs, PowerPoint, Photoshop/video editing ) and video streaming.
Features on the laptop which are interesting: - backlit keyboard (really a great addon) - Slimness (it is slim which is nice) - Samsung bundled software (proprietary) - i5 processor (I didn't get an i7 because my custom build desktop has one) - Good screen size
Honestly, for an i5 processor, I feel I overpaid when it first came out when you can get something similar like that Lenovo Yoga for a better price - though I like the design of the Samsung better and the keyboard better. I however like Samsung, a lot. I have Samsung components in my desktop, phone, TV's, speakers, etc and overall I really like the brand. So, for less hassle, I like to go Samsung when possible.
Performance - The performance is better than average in my opinion. I have had cases when the laptop has frozen on me under extreme load (video editing, photoshop open, streaming music and tons of websites open in the background with word docs and excel going on. That was disappointing.
Originally when I got the laptop there was an update through the Samsung update software for my mouse. The update disabled my mouse and it took two days Googling to research the issue. Regardless, I reverted and never updated the mouse pad again for fear of it being disabled. The pad without an update works perfectly.
I am not a fan of the Samsung proprietary update software at all. It takes up a lot of resources and updates stuff I don't care to update. The bundled Samsung software is not my favorite and I tend to not use any of it or tried to uninstall it because with a 128GB SSD, I want all the space I can have for my other programs.
I wish Samsung would use more of their own hardware in their laptops. A Toshiba SSD vs a Samsung SSD... Come on. You know which one is better.
Design - The design is fantastic. It is slim, looks gorgeous and makes a statement when you are sitting in public doing work. The one think I would change on it is have it where you can open it with one hand. I struggle to do that every time, still, after a year. I think it was a design "flaw", as my girlfriends MacBook Pro is a bit thicker, but it opens extremely easy with one hand and I have to say I wish mine did... Again, the design of the Book 9 plus was great though and that was my only complaint.
I wish the charger was thought of better, similar to the MacBook Pro magnet charging cable. I feel the connection pin is too flimsy. That is actually the reason I was on the Samsung website in the first place, to find a replacement, because mine broke.
Value -
Overall, the value for the laptop is good. I do think it is still too overpriced even after a year on Amazon. The design is sexy, the processor does well for the average and even heavier user, the screen quality is amazing and I never thought I would like a glossy screen (movie watchers dreams). The color on it was pretty accurate as well. Get it if you have the money and I don't think you will be disappointed.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

I switched from a Mac Air (had to get back to Windows with real Excel) and could not find a good looking laptop that had power and would fit on an airplane folding tray well until I found the Samsung. I have been very happy with the laptop. It upgraded to Windows 10 exceptionally well and I am even happier with it on 10 than I was with Windows 8. I do wish it had a standard HDMI output - it has some new standard so I have to carry a special dongle with me wherever I go.
Using this for about a year now and I really love it, it's fast, light, the screen is amazing (sometimes in Windows some scaling problems), all round amazing as in the battery lasts long for the work I have to do with it, it loads very fast.
I know I can replace the ssd and will do that sometime soon, hopefully for a 950 Pro 512GB but the RAM is kinda limited, I use Chrome all the time and it uses 2.5-3GB on it's own, add Outlook and a few more programs and 8GB is quite limited, especially if you'd like to run a VM every now and then.
Besides that it's amazing, bright screen with touch an light and screen going all flat, makes me able to use it on the sofa with my knees up etc. I have a leather pouch for it and I carry it anywhere I go basically.
For people that are often on the way it's probably one of the best Windows Laptops/Ultrabooks you're going to find.
