Simple Affordable Performance

I purchased my Samsung Chromebook 2 as an additional device for both personal and professional use. The institution I work for is converting to a Chrome-based model and I wanted to get ahead of the curve prior to full implementation. I have used laptops and desktops running both of the major operating systems and have found Chrome to be a viable alternative for most tasks that I would classify as typical use: email, web navigation, streaming video, etc. However, I will keep my high end desktop for video production and a few other purposes.
From the product perspective, the Samsung Chromebook 2 is a great value! It is light, portable, energy efficient and easy to use. It is fantastic to be free of concerns about viruses, constant software updates, slow start up times and the system bogging down over the long term. I have found the cloud-based system running on this machine to be more intuitive than on other platforms I have used.
Design is always subjective...but I like the clean, simple lines and compact profile. It is not as elegant as some of the ultra thin laptops available...but I could by several Samsung Chromebook 2s for the price of one of those devices! I looked at other Chromebooks, but decided to go with Samsung because I have had good experiences with many of their products...everything from phones, to DVD players, TVs, a refrigerator, a range...everything has been reliable and a solid value.
So if you are looking for a portable device to do the basics at low cost and high value...The Samsung Chromebook 2 would be a good choice. It has very few drawbacks and many advantages over other, more traditional machines. At this price point how can you go wrong?

Awesome little powerhorse!

Sleek, light and fast! Great and clear display. Keyboard is not too small. Battery power is good. Definitely my favorite laptop yet and I've had both Macbooks and Windows laptops.
Love it!
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: could use 4gb instead of 2gb

Easy to manage

I'm not computer savvy, but i have been able to operate the chromebook with ease. The size is also good, because it makes it easy to carry when moving room to room. I'm still exploring the device, but so far I have been satisfied and have not encountered any problems.

Replacement for school

Got this for school for my son. He loves it. Says it is much faster than the Chromebook that he was using from school. I think it looks great, very appealing design, especially compared to the other brand. Set up was a breeze, which is probably part of the appeal. His school account contains everything that he needs, so switching over to this new one was simple.

I am not a computer person, but I can use this machine easily and I highly recommend it to those of you who have a need for a computer like this. You won't be sorry. Samsung is the best.

I LOVE my Samsung Chromebook

After carrying around a bulky laptop for 6 years, this lightweight chromebook has been SUCH a nice change of pace. The size is perfect for traveling and the battery life is exceptional. It works at a lightning fast speed - even when I have multiple apps/tabs open! I am so impressed with the design and have no regrets about this purchase! Well done, Samsung!

chromebooks have come a long way

I'm so glad Chromebooks are compatible with everything now. they def come along way. I purchased one of the first generations few years ago and they weren't compatible with nothing. we had bought it for my son to play his mine-craft and at the time we couldn't even do that. so i sold it and steered clear of them for a few years. don't get me wrong, I luv chrome, Google and of coarse Samsung.. that's why i decided to give it another try after my laptop crashed. and considering that My main browser on all my laptops/phone, & tablets is already chrome anyways, and my whole life is in that Google cloud already it just made sense. Its so nice how it all just syncs to all my other Google devices, which are all SAMSUNG, automatically. And i luv how its light & small and fits in my purse.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, google sync, cloud storage
Cons: only 2 usb ports

Very lightweight and convenient for college students.

This Samsung Chromebook is amazing. Especially for college students. It's very lightweight, so you don't have to worry about having to leave it behind at home because it's too heavy. Super fast Intel processor and very convenient for school when you have to type up papers. The only downfall I've come across with this Chromebook is that it is only supported by Google Printers. You cannot print via Bluetooth on printers that are not google printers. The solution to this although that I have found is that you can still save your work onto a USB Drive and pop in the USB Drive to a computer/laptop connected to a printer and you can open up the document and print it from there. Overall, this product is great.
