great little computer for the price

I hate windows 8.1 but I mostly have it figured out now. If I was a rich person I would buy a couple hundred of these and pass them out to poor kids who can't afford to buy a computer of there own. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the screen resolution.

Great little nootbook

I got this for my daughter on her 21st birthday and she loves it. She loves that she can do anything with it that a desktop and larger laptop can do without the weight or having to stay in one place like with the desktop. She loves how compact it is. Easy to use right out of the box. Great for young and old. I highly recommend it.

I have been using my HP stream since January as my "commuter computer" and I am very pleased with it so far. Great battery life -- I can do a day of teaching without having to tote the power cord -- and oh so light and portable. Including MSOffice for a year with the computer was a great move because it clinched the sale for me... I'm just wondering what happens when the year is up, but I don't regret this purchase and am considering buying the same machine in Magenta for my daughter, with French keyboard if possible.

Would be a great product with a better touchpad

Love the size, speed and soft touch keyboard. Hate the touchpad as one needs to tap it hard to click on icons. Had to return first unit as the touchpad cursor movement was intermittent. This unit's touchpad is not that great either. Otherwise you can't beat the amount of bang for the buck.

I absolutely love my hp Stream! I needed something that was light weight, easy to carry around, and easy to navigate. Originally, I was hesitant due to it using Windows 8 and this being the first product I owned using it, but I did catch on quickly and couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this product.

My wife needed a pc notebook for a specific application, and I chose the HP based on their reputation and price point. Everything about this laptop feels cheap. The trackpad is so inaccurate we had to buy a mouse.
Battery life is good, and the online buying experience was smooth, but I just can't recommend this unit. Spend a little more and get something more substantial.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This HP stream replaces my old ipad. I am familiar with the operating system that HP uses and like it better. I stream many shows and believe this HP is the best. It is fast and just the correct size.
