Beware of bulb burnout! - PowerLite Home Cinema 83

This is a great projector. However, I have had it about 1 year and am already on my third lamp bulb! The bulbs are expensive and seem to burn out quickly. We use the project around ~25 hours / week so it is not due to excessive use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lamps burn out quick

I am on my 3rd lamp. The first lasted just over 1000 hours. 2nd lasted 125. Well I now have 25 on my third. We will see how long this one lasts.

Great projector! This is my third projector and I can assure you that it is amazing what you get for the money with this projector. Very good contrast and brilliant colors. This projector also has very low fan noise. It's almost silent. Extremely flexible placement capability with the lens shift function. Highly recommend this one!

After reading many reviews, I finally decided to purchase the 8350, and wow! it does not disappoint!
This is my first projector, and I was a bit skeptical about picture quality. My worries were put to rest after my first viewing out of the box. I paired my 8350 with a manual pill down 120" screen, and have been blown away by it's picture. Blu-ray looks amazing, video games are crystal clear, and my HD satellite receiver comes through impressively. I've only viewed it for a few hours, so I'm sure after tweaking the settings, I'll achieve an even more impressive experience. This projector is well worth it. 120" HD viewing in my living room is beyond anything a "flat screen" TV could offer. Buy it!

Epson 8350 projector

This projector is well derserving of all the good reviews I read about it before purchase. This is my first projector and I am thrilled with it. I have it sitting on the back wall on a shelf about 20 ft away from a 100inch screen (went with an Elite Sable). And it works great!. Have no focus/noise/brightness issues at all. I am using Cinema in Eco mode. I used the settings I found on Projectorreview (Art's Calibration) to tweak the colors and found it to be very pleasing to the eye. I have nothing to compare it with since its my first projector but I am completely happy with it. This is leaps and bounds a better experience than any TV and I am glad I went this direction for my home theater. I do have it in my basement and can control the lighting. I would not recommend a projector if you have windows around like in a living room.
If you are on the fence about going with a projector and have an area for it, this is a great way to go.

Picture perfect. All the way live, for sports events. The main event of my parties. I am extremely proud of my decision to purchase this product. I've had it over a year now, absolutely no problems whatsoever. Not even a bulb replacement. I highly recommend this projector.

Better value than 55 inch lcd flat screen!!

This projector lives up to the good reviews, My friends want one now, I have this paired with a 92 inch screen in my family room, great for tv,blu ray movies, Football is fantastic,Light control is not a concern like I thought it would be, for the price and quality it cant be beat, the only thing I did not budget for was food and beverages with everybody stopping by. Good remote, easy install, easy to read manual.
