TV Projector

Using the device as a tv projector. Love the space savings as projector is on shelf above couch and all stereo/videao are in cabinet out of the way. The 120" picture is the "behold" moment i always wanted. I did use the projection tv white paint on the wall.
If i turn off projector and back on in less than 4 hours a auto iris failure occurs and i have to unplug device and plug it back in to operate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great HD picture on 96" screen. Works best with HDMI cable. Using Component cables displayed scrolling color bands(red,green,blue). Large lens with easy adjustments

Power Lamp Issues

We absolutely love the picture of the projector. HOWEVER...... We have had issues with the FIRST model we purchased which was the EPSON 8100 Model in which the lamp blew-out 4 times. We have had the projector replaced twice because of the same problem. Then we were given the 8350 model. Once again, great picture, however, we had issues with the power lamp and are on our 2nd 8350 Model. The lamps are suppose to last 4000 hrs. We have only gotten up to 650 hrs. As mentioned earlier, we really like the picture the projector provides, but maintaining the power lamp is a problem. We presently have 150 hrs on the present 8350 projector and will have it calibrated next week. I hope this projector gives us the full lamp hours it's suppose to. Nevertheless, We love the big clear picture it provides and will never go back to a TV.

Epson 8350 projector

I Have had this projector for 15 months now. I would buy it again today. Color and sharpness are great. My LCD flat panel is only slightly better(clearer. I recently had a bulb failure, at 3644 hours on the bulb....I couldn't be happier that it lasted that long. Epson Technical Support was superb!

Nice unit, faulty bulb, good warranty

I bought the Epson 8350 projector for my wife for the Olympics. The lamp died after just three weeks with a loud popping sound inside the projector. On removing the lamp I noticed that the filament inside had moved about quite a bit. However, the bulb was not broken and none of the mercury in the bulb had a chance to spill out. Not happy with the bulb at all but the warranty service was great. Epson shipped me a free replacement bulb by FedEx and it reached us in 2 days.
The projector picture is great. We have it projecting on a large wall in our basement and the colors are nice and bright. The color of the wall is creamish kind of white and the colors look natural. The fan makes some expected level of noise of course but gets drowned by our home theatre system, it has not been an issue.
The projector is big and heavy but we have ample space so it was not an issue for us. We are enjoying the Olympics and Bollywood/Hollywood movies like never before on our 120 inch wall screen. Highly recommend the product and the service.

Two years later - still extrememly happy

I've been running this projector in a basement home theater for about 2 years. I have about 2500 hours on the lamp and it's still going along just fine. I do always run the projector on the lower brightness setting, which also makes the fan noise nearly silent and should extend the lamp life. Picture quality is outstanding, still very happy with my decision to buy this projector.
